To summon someone you must be human (reverse hollowing at a bonfire) and if someone is around your soul level and has a white sign (or golden if they're a sunbro, which 90% of times golden sign at that area = twink, but he's a helpful twink.) out, then you'll see it and you'll have the option to summon them. But you can only summon while Human. You don't need to do anything with the white soapstone.
Ok, so where are Solaire's summon symbols? Are they just hidden around or are there certain places I should be looking?
They are usually infront of the Fog Walls where the bosses are. But you have to talk with him first.
-Snip snip, question answered-
Apparently Best Buy sells the Dazzle HD. Anyone know if that's decent or whatever? I have no experience with these things, but it's only like $40 so it's worth a shot.
I am Solaire, appraiser of the sun, cockblocker of Darkwraiths. :v:
Blaghsf dammit, my Gold subscription just ran out today. Literally like a week after I started playing this again. Anyways, I'm not shelling out to play just this one game, so I guess I'll have to make do with offline.
playing dark souls offline is terrible [editline]11th March 2012[/editline] feels even more lonely when you dont even see the occasional phantom/ghost being killed infront of you
That's why you get a PS3.
God fucking damn you seath, why must your dungeon take forever to get to

The only annoying part of getting to seath is that you can't skip the clams, you have to kill them otherwise they'll go to the boss fight and mess you up.
Just fought Iron Golem with a claw, god that was boring as hell. Did like... 28 damage a smack? And he he has some 2000+ health I believe. I'm glad I didn't start pumping points into Dex, I think I'm going to go with lightning again.

They all died by Seath's crystal aoe spam, so it was all gravy.
I didn't have a problem with the clams when I fought Seath... And I just ran by them.
The first time you fight seathe, the clams can come through because there's no fog door. All subsequent tries have a fog door and therefore they can't get in.

Yeah, I'm probably going to go with the standard lightning/vitality. Looked up SLB though, looks interesting, I might try that some day.
I am currently playing 4 characters simultaneously. A heavy knight class, wanderer, pyromancer and warrior. The different playing styles that they offer are so engaging. Although I need to concentrate on one though :v:
Im playing 4 characters aswell Havoke- Str/Dex sl120 Nukeyamum- Intell/Channler sl48 Lautrec- Faith/Dex sl83 Kony- Pyromancy/Dex sl32
How can I manage to get by that huge, poisonous lake at the bottom of Blighttown? I'm almost out of Purple Moss Clumps, and I think it'll be impossible without at least 1 or 2.
Well there is a Shadow armor somewhere in Blighttown, it has some pretty good poison resistance. You might want to grab it. Besides when you move around the lake try to move near those gian pillars, usually there is some ground there that is not poisonous. Just run from pillar to pillar. Also I just moved through the area even with poison and just heal with a Moss clump at the end. Using them all the time is only a waste.

When Seath's healthbar popped up, I quit the game and reloaded my file. Bam, fog gate with no fucking annoying clams. You should be more worried about getting toxic status from those blow dart assholes If you have the Rusted Iron Ring, you should be able to move through the lake quickly and decrease the chance of being poison build up too fast. You can also, like already mentioned, find the Shadow Armor.
fucking havel that is all
fucking havel that is all
Take off armor, equip your strongest weapon and backstab him to death.
also: apparently rhea is killed by petrus if you don't kill him beforehand? is that unavoidable? killing him counts as a sin apparently, so I can't really do that just yet... and i need rhea's miracles for the build i'm working on.
also: apparently rhea is killed by petrus if you don't kill him beforehand? is that unavoidable? killing him counts as a sin apparently, so I can't really do that just yet... and i need rhea's miracles for the build i'm working on.
Yes, Petrus will kill Rhea at some point, though I don't know exactly how long it takes. It's really better to kill him and deal with the sin than to lose the chance at those miracles on that playthrough. Killing Petrus doesn't make anyone else hostile to you and I think the only thing sin does is allow darkmoons to invade you.
Rhea will be trapped in the Tomb of Giants with the other two clerics, although they went hollow. You can rescue her and free her from the Tomb of Giants. Afterwards she will move to the Undead Parish, where you can find the first Fire Keeper Soul. She will be selling her miracles there, if you wait to long though Petrus will attempt to kill. I don't know how long you can wait though, but you should visit her as fast as possible. Once you bought all the Miracles, she will visit the Duke's Archives and be imprisoned in your former cell. Also she will go hollow.
I somehow managed to beat Quelaag on my first try. Now I'm just even more terrified, wondering what the next boss will be like.
i've played like 30 hours of dark souls so far, all while offline its so lonely here :'(
I know that feel bro, I've probably put upwards of 45 hours into this game, and all of them were offline. More souls for me I guess!
I somehow managed to beat Quelaag on my first try.
You do not know the meaning of frustration yet my child, ravel in your innocence.
Honestly, the only boss I found difficult after gaining access to the lightning weapons was Oreos and Smores. My Lightning Greataxe +5 just royally fucked over every boss afterwards. Except maybe Gwyn. He takes less damage from Lightning. Edit: Kind of makes me not want to play my thief character, actually. Since I'm going Lightning with him as well.
