well i can see why people hate the artorias fight in the dlc 4 tries and counting and even though i can dodge most of his attacks i deal 43 damage a hit , this may take a while
also the guardian was easy took me 3 tries and 1 of them was to figure out attack patterns
Took me 3 tries, had a +14 Iaito
Just learn when to dodge and always attack him when he tries to buff

I was around 65 so I guess you are a bit disadvantaged
I imagine it's still possible though
I'm a terrible person. I invaded a guy who was clearing out the Knights for Siegmeyer, and he stayed in the room with siegmeyer. I stood next to Sieg, and sure enough the guy unleashes a combo on me that pisses off Siegmeyer, and I just keep my shield up while the guy keeps getting flattened by two-handed power attacks. Karma got me though, I wasted 4 of my 10 cracked orbs on people who quit when I invaded, and another on a guy that I backstabbed about 5 times but did no damage to.
One time I was feeling massively dickish so I invaded someone in Anor Londo, got them to chase me down to the Giant Blacksmith, and they accidentally hit him. :<
i felt bad about it but also it was funny
People will say keep your shield up, but honestly it's smarter to learn to roll away from attacks. Especially later on against enemies with strong attacks, they'll destroy your stamina if you just try to facetank it with a shield.
I played with the shield up my first time playing through the game, rarely rolled and did not even test backstabbing or parrying. It worked well.
Blocking attacks is fine as long as you have a good enough shield and lower it between attacks, and for most normal enemies you can keep it up through a combo anyway.
so a guy posted on reddit about his new stream where he was going to PVP as artorias
he wasn't particularly good
he was invaded by a guy in full dragon form who proceeded to give him a new asshole in about four minutes
he sent him a message on gwfl calling him a cunt or something
So I went back to reddit and said something like "this was cool but i stopped watching when you called him a cunt" and listed all the reasons why he's bad and should feel bad
then he started replying and I realized he was doing it ON STREAM
So I kept doing it and commenting on his stream while he was checking my messages, and he kept getting angrier and angrier. He couldn't figure out how to block me on reddit, so instead he just deleted the post entirely
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
Few things feel better than invading a guy with a summon, walking right past the summon(who is running in small circles completely oblivious to the guy 5 feet away, and backstabbing the host who has yet to notice you. Then when he tries to flee(past the summon, who is still playing helicopter) backstabbing him AGAIN and then doing the same to the summon when he finally realizes he should do something and goes clean through you during the backstab animation, only to get your sword up his ass as well. Only downside is I couldn't finish the summon before fading away.
I've noticed that too. It's even more hilarious when the host/summon attracts all five pursuers at once, and then the other one accidentally walks in front of them. Accidental instakills are super great.
Ah man, I really need to get kill the four kings to get some more orbs. PvP is so much more fun when you can pit your PvE build against other PvE builds.
RP Builds > PvP and PvE builds
Those two Hollow atop the tower before Taurus, ARGH!

Really?
Climb the ladder yo
Those two Hollow atop the tower before Taurus, ARGH!
climb ladder
kill
trigger taurus
run back
jump off and stab, run other way
roll through feet, back on to ladder, repeat
I changed the style of naming these, giving each a unique title

"More PVP action and a couple errands! In this episode we see a powerful advantage this build has and we also see the counter to that advantage and talk about a counter counter!"
Darkwraith build complete, now to get some chunks to +5 this lightning Darksword. I managed to keep it at level 42, which I don't think is bad since I beat 4 kings and said "I wanna make a darkwraith build" and lacked the strength for the sword. Time to invade people in full darkwraith attire.

Turn off AA and all that good stuff.
[editline]30th October 2012[/editline]
Well, I guess this uses SSAO, being a console port.

I did, I did, I downloaded DSfix, trying to keep the resolution and internal rendering resolution as low as possible while still looking pretty nice
Anyone interested in helping me out with the Four Kings? I'm level 40.
I see literally no signs so I assume I'm just in an empty lobby or too low of a level to see summon signs.

Your level is fine, there just aren't many people that put down a sign for the kings. Try putting on full Havel's armor, use the grass crest shield, and 2 hand something with high damage. Run up into them and let them have it, heal when you get to about half health.

I had so many problems doing it this way, he'd always get me when I'm halfway up the ladder.
I actually found it easier to straight up melee him, just do the plunge once then hide in his crotch and slice him up between attacks.

I found someone fuck yes.
But yeah I'm going to tank them with stone armor actually.
Tanking is really the only way. They have so many high-radius and unblockable attacks that if you want to melee them you have no choice but to go with high poise and defense. Well, if you don't want to be fighting 2 or 3 at once that is.

This method is obsolete by ng+ though.
Jesus I almost wish I had bought this for the Xbox instead of PC, I can't find anyone to invade and summoning/getting summoned almost never works.
Any tips on how to improve performance?

dsfix.
60 fps can somewhat increase performance on sluggish machines.
