I really like fighting the black/silver knights, especially the sword ones. Feels like a dance.
I just really hate their chain skirts.
I really like fighting the black/silver knights, especially the sword ones. Feels like a dance.
until you slap their weapon away and stab them through the scrotum
Silver knight's looks better. But you'll have better stats with black knight's. Choose one.
Maybe in colour scheme but when you're a white phantom, it should all blend together. The stats are weird though because if I'm helping with Drake and Josh then Drake's lightning attacks do more damage. I might go with the BK one, the lack of cape, better shoulders and engravings are pretty neat. [editline]3rd November 2012[/editline]
I just really hate their chain skirts.
They both have them which sucks. Can't think of any other leggings which would look as nice though.
What's the cheapest place to buy this for PC? I saw that www.play-sc.om has it for £14.72, but eh. [editline]3rd November 2012[/editline] Never mind, picked it up for £15 from Zavvi.
Tried it and i was preparing for the worst. The PC port is just horrible and unplayable but ok i still went on. I had nothing but a broken sword, killed a few skeletons, wandered outside and a huge dragon broke the wall and the game wanted to fight it with only my broken sword. Uninstalled straight after

Also, that is not a part of the game you just described. That doesn't happen. Better luck next time, troll dumber people for better results.
What exactly do you mean about bad controls with the "DSFix?" I play with keyboard and mouse and I already got two lord souls and I rarely die. I guess some people are more used to using the gamepad for this kind of game.
[sp]So I finally got Dark Souls and I think I'm at like the first level, after some sort of bird moved me or something. I went down some stairs, and now I'm in water, and these ghost things come up with scythe arms and stab me to death in 2 hits. And then they just keep shitting on me over and over again and oh god what the fuck do I do?[/sp]

Head up the hill from Firelink and go through the aqueduct.

Perhaps you should have also considered the easy to install fixes.

http://www.livestream.com/milkandcooki Streaming a bit.
I stream some attempts at PvP but I doubt anyone wants to see me wander around Anor Londo with "Invasion Failed" flashing on the screen.

If i could, i would stream. But... my internet kinda sucks so that wont be possible yet, would had been awesome to stream a bit of Dark Souls. Maybe the next Souls Game. If i had a HD PVR thing, I'd be recording all the damn time.
I'm on my first playthrough I just got the Taurus demon to less than 10% of its health and then it hits me and knocks me off the wall to my death. Honestly, this game doesn't feel fun-hard so far. It just feel like a sluggish combat system and high damage means if you fuck up more than once you die. It doesn't feel interesting enough to keep my playing, tbh. [editline]3rd November 2012[/editline] I heard good things about it and I'm kind of disappointed.
Post next time you do, it's always interesting to see others play styles.
Right now I'm trying to do a Darkwraith-esque character, but the dark hand has such a shitty shield I just use a Balder shield. If can ever find another Titanite slab I'll +5 my lightning Darksword. It isn't as good as my uchigatana, but the heavy attack fucks up people if it makes contact. Uchigatana cuts through anyone who tries to spam parry. It's so satisfying watching them flail their shield around as I land attack after attack. [editline]3rd November 2012[/editline] I heard good things about it and I'm kind of disappointed.
One fuckup rarely equals death if you know how to recover from it. There are bullshit stunlocks in the game (I'm looking at you wheel skeletons) but most of the time you can retreat behind cover and quickly quaff an estus. As for the sluggish combat system, yeah it's not for everyone. The armour you wear and the weapons you use do factor a lot into how the game plays but it has its typical "Dark Souls" feel which not everyone is fond of. Also, as a friendly bit of advice, if you didn't know already [sp]there is a ladder immediately to the right of the boss fog gate you can climb up. Once you're up there you can lure the Demon close and do a drop attack on it to do massive amounts of damage[/sp]. [editline]3rd November 2012[/editline]
The combat is anything but sluggish.
It can be. Sluggish isn't exactly an adequate term to describe it but it does have a sort of muddy feel with the lock-ons and all. Depends largely on how you play. Defensive play will almost always feel sluggish.

Which is more why a death like that pisses me off. I was demolishing the boss, and then it instakills me. I was in the middle of the wall as well, hardly even near the edge. [editline]3rd November 2012[/editline] And I hate having to wade back through the same damn enemies every time I want to repair or level up.
So, I'm 8 levels away from finishing my Cleric build. What should I put my points into?
I'm trying to decide what kind of character I want to play now. The character I took to NG+ was a "Paladin", STR/FTH build. I'm thinking either trying an INT build again, or maybe a DEX/FTH build. Suggestions?

What Dex weapon do you recommend? I'm thinking the Dark Silver Tracer since it's got an S scaling in Dex and the highest Crit bonus of any weapon in the game.
Buffed rapier will still do more backstab/riposte damage than the dark silver tracer.
Got invaded by a dickwraith in Londo, he ran around throwing down "help me" and we had a huge ass naked fistfight. I summoned a guy, who joined in. The finale was me taking on a silver knight naked and losing very quickly.
