OR THE ARENA COUGH COUGH
The arena can be a bit of a mixed bag, for plain duels I still have more fun outside the arena for the most part.
I got bored waiting for someone to summon me in Anor Londo so I went up to the Silver knights one-handing Grant with no shield and just spent the time parrying and then doing less damage than fists.
Good practice and it makes them look retarded, big powerful Silver Knight and he can't even land a hit.
great but that's pretty boring artificial difficulty imo
Good thing it's not even that hard
My SL1 character is already up to spidertits.
I am the greatest.

Spider tits you say?

Wish she was a bit more of a challenge that fight though.

It took me to kill her 2 tries on Sl24 with balder swag sword +5 with Mildred. Because my two handed R1 attacks did 40 damage to her.

Also lighting spear on early levels is very useful. Holy crap.
I'm so happy the DLC is actually a change of pace and challenge because after beating the game five times it gets pretty boring.
I just tried calculating how much time I invested in playing this game, I think it is about 300 hours. I still do not know what makes it so great. Besides I have not even touched the DLC at all. I am about to start it today though.
Got some spare money on my PSN account, although I'm not really in the mood for Dark Souls these days. I'd have to get into it again, 'cause I didn't play for some time, would you guys say that the DLC is interesting enough to buy it anyways and to get playing again?

Here we go, finally got this to work.
Side Note: Fucking genius.
Can you guys help me? My computer far exceeds even the recommended settings yet I cannot surpass 15 FPS. I'm running on a Lenovo Y580, which uses an Intel HD 4000 card and has 8 gigs of ram.
Finally managed to beat Four Kings, my SL1 dickwraith build is almost complete.
Now to find hilarious things to wear and wield that don't screw me over. (help)

What'd you use to kill them?

Lightning hand axe does pretty well in PvP, pyromancy will probably be your main source of damage if you invade anyone leveled up high enough (mainly combustion).
As far as armor and rings I can't really help much since I haven't had an SL1 since 1.05.

you're not above recommended specs. intel hd 4000 probably means integrated graphics card, ie pretty shit.
Oh god, the sanctuary guardian is fucking my shit up so bad. I have not anticipated such a heavy fight right at the start. It is not that my attacks do no damage, but he is relentless and vicious.

I did a little bit of research, and that laptop is actually a very entry level gaming laptop.
It's not all bad, playing at 15 FPS. I have to as well, but you could try DSFix found here: http://darksouls.nexusmods.com/mods/19
It fixes the framerate for 99.9% of people, and I'm that other .1%.
I beat Gwyn for the first time yesterday. Soul Level 342. Iron Flesh is so overpowered.

this is the greatest build ever. karmic justice bomber.
i need to try it
I keep getting invaded by the same guy and he never manages to kill me ever, like 5 times in a row.

there are just some persistent bastards in PvP these days
yesterday i invaded a guy three times, killed him all three times. in duke's.
then he sent me a message asking for help with seathe
so i threw down my white stone, helped him all the way to the cave, and then pulled all the clams to him and jumped off a cliff. he died.
then i invaded him again. :v:
man i'm an asshole
I fucking hate this fight with Nito, not enjoying this game anymore it's just pissing me off. I understand that I'm going to die alot but fucking hell he's a dogshit boss

He's actually quite simple. The EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESHOOO blade attack is rather easy to dodge with proper timing. As for his minions, divine weapons keep them dead and he is capable of damaging them himself. As for strategy, attack him in the bum and run when he charges up Deathly Miasma of Death attack.
He's one of the easiest Lords. Plus fire hurts him good.
Any tactics on the Manus fight? He is fisting me really hard.

roll instead of blocking and don't stay too close or he'll slap your shit with his combo attack
when he starts using magic, molest your silver pendant

Thanks for the tips, I just find it frustrating when it appears he's going to lunge at you and then does that spike shit.

If I would know what a silver pendant is.

you have to find it in the town
Also Kalameet is really kicking my but, why the fuck are the bosses in the DLC area so hard :v:
