Its so much fun using the carvings in the forest and people asking me where I got them. I spent like na hour in one guy's world slaughtering people who came in until a guy with dark magic came and my pendant wasn't ready
BBoP has greater range though, so the damage stays higher longer. I guess which you prefer depends on how you use bows.
Just pointing out that the scaling on the Black Bow is nothing special since it has such a low base damage.

Beat the first two bosses in demon's souls and I haven't died yet. The tower knight or whatever his name is took like 30 minutes :v:
I hope there are more moveset-altering items in the next souls games. Being able to dodge like the Hollow Thieves would be awesome.
I hope the new Souls game is a prequel to Dark Souls, and I also hope they add a reason for you to actually dual wield weapons. Maybe faster movesets or attacks that do 2 instances of damage when you dual wield or something.

The only reason to dual-wield anything in this game would be because it looks cool. I disagree the Tower Knight is the best boss in the game. Your first time playing, you reach a second wall of fog. You enter and then what do you so? I giant freaking knight. But its okay because you can topple him over if you hit his feet enough. Then the satisfaction of beating his head in was great. The background music was amazing too. Its a shame the Iron Golem wasn't as memorable as the Tower Knight.

This lore has been to much analyzed. We need completely new content. I want to see new characters and locations. Or perhaps it could be set in Lodran, but far away from Dark Souls.
Set it in Astora. Secretly make the main character Solaire. Do not hint at it though the entire game; at the end, reveal. Minds will be blown.

that reminds me i always wanted to make an iron golem build hm. iron golem, or iron tarkus... [editline]7th November 2012[/editline] porque no los dos? tacos.jpg

This game allows you to be so many things, being a certain character would destroy that. I personally like that the player is a unknown character thrown into Lordran, you can play pretty much every way you want and create your own story within your quest.

I think it'd be interesting to go from 'nation' to 'nation' though; like travelling in between Lordran, Catarinia, Astora, etc.
Guess I am to serious about my favorite franchise :v: Anyway I agree with you, being able to travel in other nations during that time would be awesome, seeing as how things developed and how everything evolved.
I got invaded by a dorkmoon and we had a really rad pvp battle. I was using my SL1 almost darkwraith and I kicked the shit out of him. He was really nice about it and I gave him some tips on how not to be bad.
Speaking of being bad at pvp why am I so terrible at parries
The light-crossbow improves by huge leaps with upgrades. As a knight, it's actually a lot more useful than I expected it to be.
bows scale crossbows don't use bows
Lightning Ave
Crossbows are still capable of outdamaging bows though, even with 40 dex, and they have the advantage of the actual shot being near-instant - though the reload can bite you in the ass. They also have a longer range (than short/composite bows, at least), in terms of damage, though you're limited to your lockon to hit things unless you're used to aiming it with the camera. The only thing that keeps me from using them is their weight, but I've always had a better experience with crossbows than bows. I'm not saying that they're objectively better, or anything, I'm just saying that they shouldn't be completely dismissed.
Crossbows are great for non dex builds because they possess no scaling at all but offer high base damage. They're much better than bows if you don't have that many stats to play around with. Heck I prefer crossbows over bows on my dex build. Just don't fire them too far away (cause they can easily be dodged) or too close (because pain will happen as you reload).
Maybe but the normal Bows weigh 1, easy enough to stick as a secondary. All of the Crossbows weigh more than that and you have to factor in the extra weight. And for a decent Str build, it's just as easy to use a Pyromancy flame with great combustion.
Pyromancy would require attunement though. Also pyromancy has a cast time and doesn't fly in a straight path, where with crossbows there is no delay and the bolt flies straight forward. I'm not saying that crossbows are the best things ever (because they do weigh a lot and they do have that long reload time depending on which crossbow you're using), but they're still as viable as pyromancy and bows.
Should I make lighting shotel +14/15 when I have 16 STR and 14 DEX? I don't really have too much damage with scaling.
Pls respond.
You can either go with lightning or chaos. If you want you could go enchanted or divine if you have the int or fai.
