Dark Souls (PC/PS3/360)v2 - Prepare to Die edition. - Games

Maybe it's just me, but I'm finding this game horrendously boring. Like, I just defeated the Gaping Dragon, and I have no motivation to continue on any further. I can't figure out what it is.

Also, aside from being able to kindle bonfires and summon phantoms, are there any benefits to reviving to your human form?

I believe Blighttown might give a lot of new players trouble since they won't know what they're doing. In human form you can also be invaded/use invasion items. Also you aren't disgustingly ugly anymore.

ho shit. This is my first time playing a Dex/Int character, and holy fuck is it powerful. I blew through Orns and Smough with the help of Great Magic Weapon(Smough also decided to be a retard, go figure). Should I try to get a hold of the Lord Souls now, or head to Painted World and dick around trying to get all of the shit?

You're probably too late, come to think of it. You need to rescue Griggs in the lower burg, then rescue logan in sens, then find logan in seath's prison, then find him AGAIN in the library, then eventually kill his crazy ass up in the tower. I'm guessing it's too late, yeah. Yes it is. It's also affected by Bellowing, which means you can equip the Bellowing ring (and dusk crown), cast it, then switch your ring and hat and the effect will still be super powerful. (dusk/bellowing only increase damage at the time of casting, so it'll retain that damage boost regardless of what you equip after you cast it.

40-50 seems normal for sens, actually i usually assume 0-15 gargoyles, 16-30 quelaag, 31-40 depths, 41-50 sens

shit man i always get to like 17 before i go against the gargoyles fucking hate them But I do take the shortcut everywhere, so I lose out on levelling up later on so it evens out. also i'm a goddamn idiot. I kept using the /v/ catalog to try and find dark souls general threads to circlejerk about how fun it is i completely forgot they moved all general threads to /vg/ i've been missing them for 6 months because i can't read

the depths-entrance route through Blighttown is a long grueling pain in the anus but I think of it it as a sort of proving ground for new players

The only hard part was figuring out where to go after the first Blighttown bonfire. After that, it was a breeze, especially since in all of my playthroughs I always run through the second half.

I kinda want to do a pure dex dickstab/archer build--rapier/bandit knife, Pharis Bow, DWGR, etc. Kill enemies either by being far enough away that they never see me, or fast enough that they never hit me :v:
