that feel when you summon a sunbro and you cant bow before they disappear after bossfight
God damn every guide I find to kill the hellkite is completely obsolete thanks to that thing where he flies above you and sprays you on the spot. What am I doing wrong with this? I've got a black knight shield for fire resist and it's still killing me instantly.
the hellkite drake is a bitch, its probably killed me more than any of the bosses

It's the only enemy i've only killed once because the cunt jumps around and breathes fire that instakills you 99999 times
Go up stairs, shoot arrow at wing, smack him in the face the second he lands (one time!), run down stairs before he obliterates you, rinse and repeat.
For those with wizardly powers, I found that it was also effective to draw him to the ground with an arrow, let him do his fire thing while you hide downstairs, go partway upstairs (just enough to fire a soul spell) and let go with the biggest soul spell you have, he either lets loose another flame, or starts walking around the bridge.
Rinse, repeat for those who don't want to smack him.
Just sitting here right before the iron golem with my summon sign out, SUMMON ME I NEED SOULS BLARUGHRUAHG

I am so going to try this later.
I've figured out a nice battle-mage character
Crown of dusk and dusk gloves, channelers robe and waistcloth
Moonlight greatsword and Crystal ring shield and using spells like Repair for using power attacks with the greatsword / shield, and some soul spells :v:

It's more fun than I expected it to be
[editline]17th March 2012[/editline]
also rofap and that sorcery boost ring
just killed timon and pumba for the first time
took me about 4 tries, which is nowhere NEAR as bad as i expected. also, ornstein's armor is awesome, and with havel's ring and the dark wood grain ring i'm still super-mobile.
[editline]17th March 2012[/editline]
now that that's done, what do i do next?

Same, when I fought Toejam and Earl for the first time I was expecting some overly bullshit fight since I have a friend that complains about them a lot but when I got there for the first time I found it ridiculously easy to pick off Ornstein.
But, I did die to Smough shortly after because I got reckless. :v:
aw yeah just got homing crystal soulmass and crystal soul spear
my battlemage is complete

I killed Smough first since I wanted Ornstein's armor, personally.
The Dark Wood Grain Ring basically made the fight super-simple. Not easy, per se, but pretty simple. Being able to flip around makes it easy to quickly dodge out of the way of everything they throw at you.
Fuck Sif. Any tips on killing him, because I'm almost lvl 80 and still can't?
Well try to approach him, at long distance he will only kill you with his 360 double slash attack. Try to stay close and use dual wielding and dodge all his attack. It worked pretty fine. I did it on my second try. Also some firebombs or pyromancy might help.
Yeah that's pretty much what I was doing. Running underneath with duel handed greatsword +13 with the lightning resin stuff. Can't stay underneath him though, as he always seems to jump away then get me with that double 360 when I try get back under.

If you want I'm SL 80 too and have beaten Sif, and it seems we're both on PSN, so if you want phantom help just say. But yeah I wouldn't really recommend 2h'ing a weapon. With 56 or + Poise, a 100% physical block sheild, and a decent weapon, you should be able to destroy him.
Well you really have to get a feeling, all his attacks are pretty dogeable, but his 360 attack is the deadliest one. You have to roll in the exact moment or simply get some distance to him.

I beat him on my first try with pyromancy and the Dark Wood Grain Ring. That ring is incredible. Cartwheeling is a lot faster and more responsive than rolling.
So yes, get that ring if you don't already have it (kind of a pain to get, tbh) and then just roll under him and use Combustion and Great Combustion.
my archery building is shaping up very nicely

I'd accept the offer, but I rarely get any online activity on my game for some reason, so I doubt I'd even be able to find your summon sign sadly.

I'll also check out this ring, thanks.
I played this for 7 hours yesterday with some dudes, it's some of the most fun I've ever had in Dark Souls.

It's been hilarious when we get invaded too because if one of us dies, Rhea just summons us back to keep fighting. I'm playing as Vince.
What's the best place to farm Titanite Chunks? Supposedly the big-ass guards outside Orstein and Smough drop it fairly regularly, but they're a pain in the ass to kill and I haven't seen them drop anything ever. (I've killed them a ton too.) I also hear the Darkwraiths in New Londo are pretty good for farming but they're a bit difficult to reach and I've killed a few with the Covetous Gold Serpent Ring and didn't get anything at all.
the best place to farm titanite chunks is the kiln
the black knights you kill in the kiln have a 100% drop chance of titanite chunks
a few of them drop different colored titanite chunks as well
well... considering i only just finished anor londo and killed sif, i've got a while before the kiln
but wow, 100% drop rate? that's pretty damn useful
go in the great hollow and kill all the crystal lizards/pick up all the loot, you'll never complain about chunks again
although you can always equip the gold serpent ring and farm the darkwraiths before the four kings, they drop chunks and titanite slabs (VERY RARELY, as in like once in a thousand times)
for the other chunk types if you want to farm them, the chaos eaters (the vaccuum like demons in lost izalith) drop red chunks, the mini-pinwheels infront of Nito drop white chunks, the crystal golems infront of the crystal cave drop blue chunks
they also all have rare chances of dropping slabs of their respective type

But you'll complain the entire time while you're trying to get them to spawn, not run away.
Also curse frogs.
i don't know what you're talking about, the great hollow is easy and who cares about falling you just respawn 10 meters back and really, curse frogs bother you?
[editline]17th March 2012[/editline]
oh you mean getting them to spawn, just do something else at the same time

Certainly as hell sounds fun.
