If theres DLC, there might just be some balance changes as well.
Death to the Vit-Gouge metagame.
Cookie cutter builds are fine. They have weaknesses and can be easily countered.
can't wait to recreate my parry dagger / rapier with onion armor combo
was very fun to pvp with (will probably be better on pc because of reduced lag?)
onion armor best armor
who isn't scared of a vegetable with a sword
Is it just me or did a yellow stripe appear on the wall? I could be imagining it.

You know, I played through EYE, and in that game, you get permanent stat decrease for dying. I'm kinda used to getting kicked in the nuts everytime I die by now, so just resetting to a bonfire and losing my souls doesn't seem too harsh yet.

Hahaaa. Haha. You'll see. All in good time.
Oh, and I'd just like to point out that, in EYE, you could undo fatal wounds with a certain branch of research.
I thought there were a bunch of complexities to that fatal wound research thing though; it's been so long that it might've been patched or something so that it makes more sense, that game can be so confusing sometimes.

Well, there were a few bugs that led to people getting fatal wounds anyways, but ultimately it was rather straightforward. The research was just hard to find and super-expensive once you did.
So I was thinking of making a sl ~110 PvP'er Darkwraith at the Kiln. I'll probably use Dark Armor, with the Gravelord Sword as they look sweet together. Since the armor has <56 Poise, and doesn't weight a lot I'll probably use the Wolf Ring in conjunction with the Hornet ring to get high damage backstab tanking abilities.
Sounds like a good idea eh?
Got killed by Smough when I was one hit away from killing him.
Why do I keep playing this game when all it brings me is PAIN?!
[editline]21st March 2012[/editline]
Nevermind I killed him.
Now I'm happy.
Finally got this game for the right price of $40bux
My friend told me to hit the crestfallen warrior so I did and holy shit
lets just say we learned the hard way not to hit random passive/friendly npcs
But... The Crestfallen warrior is a bit of a dick anyway. Although i suppose you might just need him for the first playthough so you know where to go.
Well, i suppose its better to learn on him than to learn on someone more important like a blacksmith.
Christ, this guy is amazing:

I'd hate to go up against someone like that.

That made me want to load up my character and try stuff out

The small yellow stripe right there in the middle.
Man I suck at pvp...

Honestly, that looks rather silly. Constantly jumping around and it seems like a mess. I prefer the normal singleplayer experience or some casual pvp.

Looks like light shining through a crack in the bricks.
Is there actually any information about the upcoming DLC?
Did they even mention DLC at all? I'm more hyped for a PC port than DLC

I guess they trademarked a name relating to "forest" or something. People believe that it has something to do with DLC for Dark Souls.
I hope if you already own it on console you can get it for free or discounted on pc as well as cloud saving
Why are there still only 7k likes on the facebook app, holy shit what the hell happened to the people who signed the petition
They don't use facebook

I'll still buy it again if it's a PC port though
Just bought the limited edition of this game, haven't played Demon Souls. Will I get completely raped if I just create a warrior-ish character using 2 handed weapons without reading a guide?

Warrior is a good class to begin with although heavy 2 handed weapons take some skill to use, I would rather go with a shield and a sword. Besides you can always switch between weapons or take your normal sword and use it with 2 hands.

Don't choose the "warrior" type to begin with; I'd recommend pyromancy, because it has decent stats for a warrior, but also has the fireball and shit to begin with which is handy. Also go for the Master key as the starting gift.
Going 2 hands will probably make the game quite a bit more difficult and you'll have to spend more time learning to dodge effectively against every enemy. I wouldn't worry about it though because, in Demon & Dark Souls you can quickly and easily switch from 1 handed to 2 handed.
As for a guide, read the wikis as you go along. You'll probably need it.

I beg to differ, personally I thought that pyromancy was kind of confusing at first. Besides a pure warrior lets you experience the awesome combat mechanics better than as a pyromancer.
