No, i got 5000 Souls and was about to kill a fucking big skeleton and then i rolled off a cliff like a fucking moron, I DON'T EVEN DODGE SO WHY DID I THEN!?
Also thats not the right way to go if you're talking about the place behind firelink
Yeah but i fell off a cliff, how can i get them? That and i'm constantly getting killed by the guy in armour at the starting fire in Lordran, i didn't attack him but i apparently did i can't do anything now because whenever i respawn he keeps killing me and i can't kill him so i'm basically fucked.
You're fucked; restart
FUCKING, AWESOME, GAME, damn i've never actually been okay with dying, i'm being serious aswell because i'm expecting to die all the time.
This game is balanced anyway, low level you're not super human with a million health and you actually have to be careful, unlike ALOT of other modern game.
It gets even better.
He isn't fucked; the firelink shrine guy can be fairly easily pushed off of any of the nearby cliffs. Just lure him there, circle around him, and start attacking.
First time I played, I accidently interrupted his speech about bells with my hand axe, and never regretted it since.
What does he actually do? :v:
Also, same incident with first merchant in Undead Burg. I can never win.
he's just there for atmosphere
he ends up going hollow and attacks you in new londo ruins once you reach a certain point in the game and exhaust all his speech options
Actually played co-op for the first time today, killed a black phantom, and completed all of the Painted World together.
I've gone through the majority of the game as a hollow, and I feel like I've missed out on a whole lot of fun, not being able to be summoned or invaded.

Getting invaded sucks dick 95% of the time because they're usually power builds with really really great gear specifically for PVP, so they end up kicking your ass without much effort.
I found a really great place to get away from Phantoms, though. The rafters above the painted world gate, that are precarious as fuck, in Anor Londo. Run to the middle where the chandelier is with a good shield and just wait. They'll try to chase you, and when their guard is down, or when they're not looking at you, hit them with a throwing knife or a firebomb. It'll knock them off and kill them no matter what.
Long falls kill you no matter what gear you have, fucker.
Is there a sequel to this game coming out soon or should I just buy this now? It looks so interesting!

Nothing has been announced, so, even if they do announce a sequel soon, it'll probably be a year or two off.

Buy it now.
It probably won't be at least another year or two before we see another Demon's/Dark Souls game.
Demon's Souls came out in 2009, and Dark Souls came out in 2011.
That's only assuming that there will be another game. (Which is highly likely considering how popular this series is)
Well take it from me, i just got the Limited Edition, so go for it, there's not going to be another game for a while i reckon.

Just bought for the 360. Yeeeeeeeeeeah
You know what would be fun? Organizing some co-op with Facepunchers. Getting everyone to make a new character, and then just having a ton of co-op fun with each other whenever we feel like it.

This is the most recent iteration. The prior Souls game is on the verge of having the servers shut down. Right now is the best time to buy it since there are lots of people playing and the price must of dropped a little.

I am totally down for that.
If anyone want to add me and play with a newbie, my gamertag is WaxRock. I live in SoCal so keep that in mind.
I'll start playing tomorrow.
I'm down, making whole new characters and beating the game almost exclusively by coop sounds amazing. We should assign roles beforehand too.
Just got to borrow Demon's Souls from a friend, couldn't find it for sale anywhere that didn't have a 2 week shipping time. Played it a little bit about a week ago and it really seemed like my kinda thing so I hope it's as good as people say.
Looking forward to playing it.
I'd tap the Maiden in Black.

Now that I think about it, Dark Souls doesn't have a "high scores" room like Demon's Souls did.
And so, Knight Solaire became a Dark Wraith, invading all on Xbox live whom began to become overconfident.

Makes me wish I had it for the Xbox :v:
I had thoughts about making another PS3 account with a name relating to Dark Souls and doing some co-op or something...
So I finally made a character that is viable in pvp. I spent 3 hours last night in the forest getting summoned to defend it, aside from BS lag stabs the fights were really fun and I stood a chance for once.
My PSN name is Matrokill, and yes I do want fuckin part of this coop session idea thingy
My PSN is Elysion70

I think we should also get Skype names so we can actually communicate with each other if we're playing on the PS3.
We could also set up an idea on how we want to play before we actually start.
I'm up for coop now that I got my connection problems sorted.
PSN is Spyder-638
No microphone if you are planning Skype though.
How do you dodge the Hydras water shots? They all kinda lock on to you and they have a huge AOE and might as well instakill you.

I'm assuming you've killed all the Crystal Golems?
Off the top of my head, you might try zig-zagging back and forth while running. Once you get close enough to them, they'll stop shooting water at you. But don't get too close, because you'll fall of an edge in the water and die.
I underestimated NG+ and got killed over and over by the knights at the church
lol

Be sure to keep your sheild up for when the Hyrda tries to eat you. The hardest part is really getting to it.
Be sure to also have a bow, the last head might be tempermental to get close to you to hit it with your weapon.
