The Heavy Knight in the Church is kind of like your first miniboss after the armored boar. It can be a real pain, but the key is to run circles around it. That's actually the key to beating most Dark Souls enemies. Find a blind spot that it has (usually its back) and then hit it there.
Well i ran near it and then had it slam down on the round, it takes a second or two for it to recover and in that time i stab him like twice, took him down in a few hits and it's worth it, he doesn't respawn i'm assuming?

Later Heavy Knights become standard enemies, but for now they stay dead.

Been getting myself summoned to help out people with Anor Londo recently, killing invaders, opening shortcuts, the usual sunbro.stuff. Funny part is that it's my playthrough, and I am murdering the shit out of lightning zweihander wielding, fire chucking, dark handing bastards invading these poor hosts. By the way, did I waste my Quelaag soul on the chaos blade? Or does humanity scaling make it worth it.
If you have the Drake sword, he's dead in 4 hits.
Yeah. By that point in the game you should really have the Drake Sword. It'll probably stay with you quite a bit past the Bell Gargoyles on top of the church, since it's so good, so it's really worth having.

Using the blade in PvE isn't ideal but it isn't a waste, but it's slightly worse for PvE because it also hurts you when you're taking on a lot of enemies, but while invading you can just bonfire after and you're only facing a max of 3 people which isn't so bad. If you're sunbro-ing in Anor Londo I doubt it would matter much anyway. Quelaag's fury sword also scales with humanity just FYI
I don't have a crossbow so i can't kill the Dragon.
Get one and go back to it! The first merchant should have one. Look it up if you didn't find him the first time. Get lots of bolts.
I don't have a crossbow so i can't kill the Dragon.
You actually need a bow to zoom in and aim, not a xbow. You can buy a bow and ammunition from the Male Undead Merchant near the two armoured dudes near the first bonfire in the Undead Parish, and he also sells Ammunition.
dont get the drake sword, beat the parish like a man
dont get the drake sword, beat the parish like a man
yeah, just bb glitch like I did on my pvp character :v: Joking, of course. You wouldn't even have items to bb glitch. The Tower knight is real easy though, never gave me trouble even though I didn't use the drake sword on my first play through. If you really need help, and you're around level 10 or so you could probably just have a phantom help you if you turn human.
Seath should not be this difficult... I didn't realize that the elite knight set gave no curse resistance, and needless to say I was killed by curse. So now my HP is reduced and his crystal attack kills me in one hit. I really do not want to venture out to break my curse and then run all the way back to the Archives... It sucks because I can't even undo my Hollowing.
Those clams drop purging stones, which you can use to cure curse.
Those clams drop purging stones, which you can use to cure curse.
Oh... Well that made life easier. I managed to kill him after I got one of those stones :v:
You can also get purging stones from the Female Undead Merchant, near the entrance to The Depths, and from that creepy guy right after you beat the Gargoyles in the Undead Parish. There's plenty of places to get purging stones.
does anyone still have the picture which told you how to do the iron tarkus build ?
I was getting my arse handed to me in the Undead Parish i think it is, the one with that black knight with the mace and shield, i couldn't kill him the first time using my Axe so i found a new weapon the um, i can't remember the name of it but it's like a spear so it's longer ranged, i'm having more fun now because i can actually kill shit, it's so good to do good.
That fight was funny for me. I'm a pyromancer so I pelted him with fireballs and he died without me getting a scratch. Funny thing is, that giant shield didn't do much for him...

Saying "I beat x without taking a scratch." as a Pyromancer really isn't saying much, since most people think it's the best early-game class in the game.

Kinda why I picked it since, first playthrough and everything, needin' time to figure stuff out. Also do you get humanity periodically? I was running about farming souls and I noticed I had a humanity point.
You get humanity when someone in your server kills the area boss I think.
I don't think you do. When you kill a certain number of enemies in an area while the areas boss is still alive you get humanity points. I think you can get 10 humanity per area this way, but the reqiured amount of kills goes up for that area. Saying you were farming I guess that's why. Anyway, I'm kicking NG+'s ass, I thought it'd be much harder. Maybe I'm speaking too soon but I've took down the Tut boss, Tarkus Demon, Moonlight Butterfly, Gargoyles, Sif, and the Hydra without summons easily enough.
Humanity can be earned by killing a large amount of monsters in one area if the boss is alive (up to 10 Humanity)
You're right.
[snip] Never mind, old news, probably WAS the wall.
Please be DLC + PC And new armor and weapons and bosses PLEASE
More of everything + pc
Anyone else see a eye peeking through the wall in between the 2 sun lights under the moss?
or a black dot
True, Its most likely just a black dot, But it looks awfully like a eye.
