Haven't checked in a week. What new announcements have I missed?
haha holy shit i remember that game
i thought i was the only one who played it
i never made it past queens or whatever
the game gets really annoying with repair powders and shit
I never proper had it, only played the demo for Dark Cloud 1, Have the second one which i love to bits. Although some people disagree.
Anyway, Playing Demon Souls with a friend. So far not too much fail, the tower knight is down after a few attempts and i think we will soon be trying stonefang mine either today or tomorrow.
Playing as a knight and not having to depend on soul arrow spam is pretty fun. Too bad i cant upgrade the armor...

Have fun with the armored spider and Flamelurker.

Dont remind me, i have to get up close and personal with that bastard...
Flamelurker is fine and all, but i fucking hate spiders that happen to be the size of a house since i dont just end up shitting bricks, i shit out the brick factory.
Page King huh? Here is some content...
"Holy fuck, MUSHROOM ME-"

-You died-
-Cue me dieing from laughter-
alrighty got to the first bonfire in blighttown at least so that's good
i had a few 17k souls lying around so i figured i'd level myself to 30
i don't like carrying around so many souls :(
haha it's funny in this game, even getting a short distance to a new bonfire feels like an accomplishment after dying like 3-4 times
In my opinion Blight Town is one of the worst areas in the entire game. There are some other bad areas later on in the game, but by that point you have gear good enough to ace it. Blight Town is just really bad for whatever level you are when you go there.

I didn't have too much trouble, but only because I had my brother sitting beside me and telling me what would come at me from what angle at any given time, and letting me know which routes to explore and which to avoid. He had to get through it the not good old fashioned way, so he knew it pretty damn well.
Yeah it was tough getting in, but I at least have a bonfire in the damn town now.
Courage is not the absence of fear, and I am afraid, but still I strive on. My body is ready.

I know the way pretty well and I still hate it. It's so easy to die, whether it be from falling off one of the platforms by accident or getting poisoned or just getting overwhelmed by all the enemies. Blight Town fucking sucks.
Make sure to light the Daughters of Chaos Bonfire once you beat the area boss, too, so that you can warp back there later in the game when you need to. Otherwise you'll have to go through Blight Town all over again.
Urhghghg.
Wait, Manticores petrifying? Don't remember that.
Hmm, well I though that I had heard that somewhere. I'm probably wrong. Either way, you don't see manticores too often. Could be a cool boss.
I honestly have no problem with Blight Town nowadays. If im lucky, i should have the rusted iron ring to run through the bottom part of it without being slowed down. Those blowdart guys are still dicks though...
im bored of everything in dark souls besides pvp and now that's overrun by box glitchers. I would love to have a new souls game, but it will be years before that happens.
until then does anyone wanna do some pvping, or even better get a few people together for a tourney?

Ring of Fog
Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring
Lightning Spears
Just play that "Brody Quest" song in the background and everything will be just fine.

You can't get the Lightning Spear and the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring before Blight Town, unless you use the BB Glitch, right?
You can't get the Lightning Spear and the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring before Blight Town, unless you use the BB Glitch, right?
You get all the miracle Lightning Spears from the Sunlight Altar, which can be accessed very early in the game. You get the weapon lightning spear inside Sen's Fortress. I'm talking about the Miracles.
You can kill Griggs of Vinheim to get the ring, as well as the spell Hush. If you don't want to do that, then yeah, you'd have to wait until you go to Sen's Fortress.
You could just go with the Ring of Fog and whatever else, and just walk through Blighttown. You wouldn't be able to get as close to enemies though because of your footsteps, so you'd have to keep some distance and lock on.

I didn't know you could kill Griggs to get it. Yeah, you could roll the miracle, but I prefer a trusty bow and arrow over magic. But yeah if you had the Ring of Fog and the Slumbering Dragoncrest ring you could ace Blight Town no problem.
Invaded a guy in Sen's Fortress.
Went up to the room with the first chest with the pressure plate in front of the door. This is my usual waiting spot. The guy summons a phantom and they head out. They snipe the female snake off the ledge and kill the male snake at the end of the bridge.
The phantom is leading, with the host right behind him, and when the phantom got close to the door I cast Toxic Mist. It's a really thick cloud so the host couldn't see what was going on. The phantom rolled through the door and activated the pressure plate, causing the spikes to shoot out.
I start swinging at the phantom and as I do so, the message "TARGET DESTROYED" comes on the screen. The phantom activated the pressure plate, which shot the arrows out and hit the host. Either the arrows killed the host, or the host ran back into one of the swinging blades because of the arrows and fell off and died.
I killed the phantom while the message was still on the screen.
I think that was a successful invasion.
I've wanted this game for so long, and now it's coming to my favourite platform! Hooray!
I think I'm going to try to do a 100% playthrough on my next character...
Something that's been bothering me is this...
After rescuing Reah from the Tomb of Giants, she'll move to the Undead Church. I don't remember what triggers it, but sooner or later she'll talk about how the bonfire is very frequented and that she doesn't warm easily to unfamiliar faces.
I've been reading up on all the characters in Dark Souls, and everyone that goes to the bonfire also leaves the bonfire as a part of their quest line.
The only two characters that don't actually leave the bonfire are Petrus of Thorolund, and Patches the Hyena.
However, if you follow Reah's storyline all the way and do it right, Petrus will end up confronting you about saving her and will try to kill you.
Patches, on the other hand, will attack you if you tell him that you are a Cleric during your visit to the Catacombs or the Tomb of Giants.
Petrus and Patches are the only two characters that are at the bonfire, that you get the chance to kill them during their quest line.
The only thing I'm unsure about is Anastacia, the fire keeper at Firelink Shrine. She also has her moment of absence from the bonfire. I feel like there's more to Reah's story if you manage to clear the bonfire out, so that she's comfortable being around there.
I've been wanting to start a no death run, then I remember the bed of chaos.
So I haven't posted in a while and I'm still stuck at the dragon.
Should I restart as an easier to play class? I'm the wanderer at the moment
so i just tried to kill spiderbitch quelaag
keyword is tried, i died in a rough estimate of 5 seconds
i had a guy with me too, that was embarrassing
sad thing too, he did tons of damage, could've used him
worst part is i had 15k souls which i lost as i died trying to make it back there
welcome to dark souls you're in the wrong neighborhood :V

You mean the dragon on the bridge?
Run to the right of the bridge, there's a stairway down.

I haven't personally followed her questline all the way yet, but from what I've read, once she appears for good at firelink after you kill petrus if you buy all of her miracles, once you go to the dukes archives she will be there. Hollow. Not sure if you considered that to be part of her questline, but from what I remember it's unavoidable unless you don't buy all of her miracles.

I think I can see some metal and cloth in there.
Despite being stuck like that for a day or two, it looks like you could sneeze on it, and it would fall.
that feeling when you let your best friend make a new character and play
and then that friend does better than you even though he has never played a playstation in his life
;(
