Both souls games are top notch and I recommend both.
If you have a PS3, Demon Souls isnt a bad place to start. But you can allways go straight onto Dark Souls if you happen to not have a PS3 but have a xbox.
Beat the fucking dragon and got a dragon scale. Boasting on the internet, yes that's right I am the king. [editline]11th April 2012[/editline] Also how do I upgrade shit using the enhancements? :D

Im guessing the Hellkyte one, the bridge one.
Some drake/dragon on the side of a cliff, wasn't hard lol, now I'm fighting ghosts and dying ):
You'regoingthewrongway
I killed a lot of them and got far in then like 9 ghosts appeared and I died leaving 13k souls in the room, I need to go back because with 10k souls I can make my drake sword (which does 200 dmg) even better with my dragon scale :(
Your better off not upgrading the drake sword.
Drake sword is terrible to upgrade, trust me. Upgrade other things.
Somehow the edit didnt show up... The Drake Sword doesnt scale with stats at all, and it should last you till Anor Londo. I'd find a weapon you want to upgrade in the mean time.
Well I got a Ps3. Why would you recommend Demon's Soul then? I also heard both games are pretty hard.
Well, Demon Souls is the first game. It doesnt have some of the features that Dark Souls have. So the transition from Demon to Dark Souls should be easyer. At least when it comes to playing Dark Souls, you (kind of) know what your doing. Because you should have learnt some habbits from playing Demon Souls.
I think Demon souls has aged really badly. [editline]12th April 2012[/editline] imo
Dark Souls PC confirmed to be GFWL. Make of that what you want. Edit: dude who posted it said we should wait for confirmation first, let's hope for the best!!
Dark Souls PC confirmed to be GFWL. Make of that what you want.
Source on the whole GFWL bit?
The source is NeoGAF they got the PC port thing right first, but this new trailer doesn't show anything that proves it. Could just be the normal GfW banner, let's hope that's the case. [editline]11th April 2012[/editline] Born as a forlon hope from fans, the request to ignite the First Flame on the brand new land of PC has grown stronger and stronger. Infused with the support from countless souls from around the world, the request has turn real. Dark Souls is coming to PC, and it is coming loaded with a lot of new content. Dark SoulsTM: Prepare to Die Edition will be available on the PC platform in Europe and Australasia on August 24th 2012 For more information on the game please visit www.facebook.com/DarkSouls, www.PrepareToDie.com
Cool trailer but if it's going to be using GFWL then all hope is lost.
The expanded take on From Software's acclaimed action RPG will support Games For Windows Live. There's been no mention of a console DLC release for the new content.
Well... IF that's really true then I'll just skip this.
There's been a lot of talk here about which weapons are and aren't good to upgrade. Rather than ask individually about each weapon, could someone give a list of weapons/armor that is worth upgrading? Especially early on, I think it would really help out the newer players.
Personally I don't mind that it's on GFWL. What I'm more curious about is that giant hand of eyes thing in the trailer.
If they go forward with GFWL they've lost my purchase, too many games are fucked over by that damn thing. They still have plenty of time to change their minds though, maybe there'll be enough of an uproar to make them get their act together.
Also I hope that trailer is captured from console gameplay. Framerate doesn't seem that good.

I've never had any issues with it at all.
Arkham City deleted your saves for no reason because of GFWL
Arkham City deleted your saves for no reason because of GFWL
Didn't Arkham City have tons of other issues that had nothing to do with GFWL? Like the incredibly jittery cutscenes? That sounds more like a bad port to me.

You're insane if you're passing this over because of GFWL. Man up.

It lists these as the key reasons to take support off of it : GFWL is unpopular, difficult to use, inconvenient, has terrible online support (a key feature in Dark Souls), and is downright unpleasant. It's not harder to use in any way when compared to something like steam which everyone wants it on. It's also no less inconvenient to boot it up in-game compared to steam which has to be booted up before you even launch your game. And the terrible online support is the one that was kind of making me laugh. This game is already out on the 360, which uses a very similar system, and it works just fine there.

I personally have had so much trouble with it that I've vowed to never buy a game that has it, and I will stick to that even if it's Dark Souls.
