Dark Souls (PC/PS3/360)v2 - Prepare to Die edition. - Games

I really hope they bring the DLC to consoles. It would suck big time if they where PC exclusive.

I'm definitely not buying this for console, so directly it doesn't anger me, but the console players have been supporting them since the beginning, so I feel for them on this one. Plus I remember buying Demon's Souls and hoping for dlc after I managed to beat it the first time.

I agree with Xion, that is a bit of a slap in the face if From Soft dont end up giving DLC to those who have supported them since the first souls game and before. (Armored Core and Kings Field and such). Thing is, they can bring out that content as free DLC, im sure of it anyway, i hope so anyway too. If i was in a different situlation where my computer wasnt so old and fail now, I wouldnt mind buying Dark Souls again on PC but at this situlation. Im more concerned with DLC for the Console version...

If some of the new PC content is old cut content, RAM limitations and performance issues could be the reason they were cut in the first place from the console versions. Microsoft doesn't like to give out free DLC, and I doubt they'd want their xbox fans feeling betrayed (instead, both ps3 and xbox fans will feel bad).

But im pretty sure both companys allow one free DLC item per game.

Okay, so invaded some dude just before the church because i remade my Silver Knight Boar again just so i can get my things back to give to people. I invade someone who has a phantom. Did an achivement check. Turns out the two arnt newbies so they are fair game. Spot the guy where the Mecha boar is and i hunt him down. His Phantom buddy gets killed off and i get close to the main guy and give him a few slashes with my katana. He drops and thats that over. He gives me a message straight after. I look it up and its a simple sad face. I message him back saying "Sorry dude, nothing personal just business. A pigs gotta eat somehow". He messages back soon after with "No hard feelings, that was my last humanity". So... thats +5 to the "Feeling like a dick" stat. While this is happening. A real invader sneaks in and i wave at him. He comes over and pretty much wipes the floor with me as of right now. I cant roll at all as im a Pig. Not a Flippy Ninja. I get hollowed and i proceed to give a message back to the guy saying "If it makes you feel better, Karma slapped me in the face and i got invaded back". The guy sends me a message back saying that he is a Brony. Okay, thats -4 feeling like a dick. I believe that is a good hunt. But i still feel like a dick for wasting his last humanity. But he's taken it well like a legend. And i love the Dark Souls Community for that. I just love how in every other game. You kinda hostile to each other because they are the big enemy and such. But in this, Everyone's your Bro unless otherwise. And, nothing wrong with Bronys. If thats what you like, Then fair enough. Different Strokes for Different Folks. Edit: Another quick story, I noticed my server was infected with a Gravelord Servant at the church, yet nothing unusual. I joined in since i never had this happen before. Join in, Noticed a invader in the same world. Fight him one vs one. All fine and dandy. Then the Gravelord Servant jumps in while me and the Invader are fighting, Kills him. Wounds me enough that i decide to run and heal. But but the guy is faster than me. Im about to heal, notice how close he is and decided to try my luck since im going to die anyway. I swing wildly with my Katana expect to either hit him once before he kills me or hit the wall entirey and i end up stun locking him on the spot and managed to kill him with the bleed out. I think im getting better in PVP. I should stop typing. But i cant stop sometimes... God damn Dark Souls, why do you give me so many storys to tell?!

Jumped down into the abyss, Died and Raged then realized that I wasn't wearing the ring. Also, DarkWraiths are way to weak, One back stab and their dead, plus they stand around waiting for a back stab.

It's hard to get killed by them due to their speed but if they get a few hits in, say goodbye to a flask for the kings. --- In other news I've been having a lot of fun with my latest PVP build, main focus was using spells and the avelyn but unfortunately the avelyn was cut due to weight. Right now, I find myself to be relying mostly on the MLGS(two handed) and spells. I also use some pyromancy to mix it up a bit, but that's just to add to the unpredictability that seems to help me out a bit. I specifically remember one fight I had where I was being so agressive and random with all my spells that my opponent was never able to hit me and had to focus solely on dodging. Which, due to stamina restrictions and the fact that people make mistakes, lead to my [i]FLAWLESS VICTORY[/i]. Anyways, [b]MLGS[/b][i](Primary weapon)[/i]: With 44 INT, this beast has a quite decent AR of 475. Consisting of [u]PURE MAGIC DAMAGE[/u]. Using my build as an example, I have 389 physical defense, compared to a [i]mere 383 ma[/i].. Well anyways it gets through shields quite well. But half of the usefulness comes from the fact that it's a greatsword: It has a fantastic moveset, with a running R1 suitable for deadlocks, it eats up stamina like a bitch so enjoy that 90 magic resist on your The Rock greatshield while it lasts, and it [b][i]STUNLOCKS LIKE A FUCKING TASER ON STEROIDS[/i][/b]. Coupled with 53 poise, you will automatically beat anyone with less than 53 poise in a straight up button-mash, and for others you just need to make sure you get 2 hits on them before they get 2 on you. Which isn't very hard due to it's good reach and the DWGR's mobility. TLDR <53 poise = 1 hit you lose [b]Homing Crystal Soulmass[/b][i](meh)[/i]: Rarely hits, whatever. No reason not to use it as long as you don't use it at stupid times. It DOES do good damage when it hits, not CSS damage but significant. Might even stun em for a second to get a quick slash in. [b]Crystal Soul Spear[/b][i](I don't have time for your shit)[/i]: Easy to dodge, but worth it. If they're out of stamina, chances are they'll get fucked down the throat with this. Other people might not expect it and enjoy the taste of a time-saving oneshot so they don't have to wait a minute to get relentlessly raped by your unmatched skill with the MLGS. More people have shitty connections. Some people use shields. [b]Great Fireball[/b][i](Can be replaced by whatever the fuck you want, no room for chaos unless you add to attunement)[/i]: Fire's pretty cool. Don't be a dumbass and get backstabbed though. [b]Lightning Avelyn +5[/b][i](Cut)[/i]: If you're finding the grass crest shield to be useless, consider swapping it for this to make things more interesting. I haven't had many chances to use it, but it does great damage. Mainly useful at mid-close range for dealing with people charging you, runners, and Well, what is it?* [i](*hint: it's a lightning bolt)[/i] And that's basically it. Just twohand the MLGS, try to put the grass crest shield on your back when you're done casting, and flip the fuck out and don't get hit. Also the big hat makes you look cool. If anyone can think of any better armor combinations, feel free to share.

I haven't defeated any boss by myself if we don't count the asylum demon, always summoned bros to help. But I went against the Capra Demon by myself yesterday and did it in five tries. People seem to complain about that one a lot but it was pretty simple. Only the first two seconds were hard. When I get the game for myself (probably pc version if it's still alive in mid-2013) I'll definitely do all the bosses by myself though.

In the Crystal Cave now. Thought the Rude's Archives would be harder but urGHHH these fucking invisible bridges

I ran to the right behind the pillars, then quickly up the staircase. Dogs followed but they're pushovers by themselves. Then I just stabbed the boss in the back every time he jumped from the top of the staircase.

went back and made a new character on demon souls, happily beating the bosses with ease, then comes the flamelurker, the boss itself not that hard but with the added challenge of my tv wanting to change to the f1 grand pre while i'm fighting it made it a little tough, i gave up in the end after it did it twice

Alright, So far i've been summoned twice to help with the Gargs. So far, Both have been invaded by someone. So far they have only used Pryomancy, probery with a Quelanna upgraded flame, as well as flip around in heavy armor. These guys really suck. Ditch that flip ring and fight me Pig to Man.

I almost put my fist through the screen. Kept being knocked off the ledge by the iron giant boss. Must have happened about 13 times, and I lost most of my humanity summoning tarkus over and over.

Just hang back and avoid getting agro until Tarkus dies, and then jump in and finish him off.

Gaping Dragon is easy, but sometimes the AI will be a dick and spam his jump/eat moves.
