Only attack him when he grabs. The Dark Wood Grain Ring isnt as important. A normal roll can still be effective. Although you will have to watch for for when he stabs.
Okay so me and some pals are interested in getting this game for PC, and we have no experience with this series whatsoever. We mainly want to play multiplayer, but everyone is saying that the multiplayer is horrible. Can someone explain how to even do co-op in simple terms for someone who's never played before?
Multiplayer (coop anyway) isn't horrible at all. It's just a pain to get in a game with your friend. Basically 1 player needs to set down a summon sign, and the other player has to watch the place you put it down and wait for the sign to relay through the servers until it gets to his. When he sees it he can be summoned into you into his world. At this point you play through the zone and defeat the boss, then you'll return to your own world. When this happens the other person puts down their summon sign and you do the same zone again so you stay at the same place, and both can collect the items. Wait for the PC version if you can, it's said to have matchmaking improvements.
I almost broke my controller today. I had 4.5 mil souls and 65 humanity on my main pvp build and I forgot to pick it up before I invaded again. Lost every bit.
I decided to lay off Gwyn for a bit and start PVPing. Joined the Darkmoon Blades, fucking awesome. You feel like fucking Judge Dredd when you kill shit.
Well. I see Gwyn's title of final boss is well deserved. The only real way I see of winning is parrying with the hornet ring and my +10 Fire Murakumo so I do 1000ish damage per parry. His body wasn't ready. I did that once in the first fight, then never again in the proceeding ones :V I'll try again tomorrow.
Be Iron Tarkus, 2 hand your greatsword, stagger the fucker every time you heavy attack. /smug
How do you even beat Gwyn with a sorcerer build without getting killed instantly? I mean, you could parry with a rapier that's enchanted with crystal magic or some stuff like that but that's not taking any advantage of your other spells.
Summon Solaire. That's usually the answer to everything. [sp]If you saved him[/sp]
BoC Down, Really that fight was easier than I though it would be, Can't help but think my putting it off until a higher level affected the fight. In the Crystal Caves now, I was not told that that first fight with seth was, gaaaa
I lost 50k souls there ;_;
Summon Solaire. That's usually the answer to everything. [sp]If you saved him[/sp]
Sorry...

Demon Souls Run though Stonefang mine to get ore for weapons. See the ammount of cobwebs there are in the cave near the boss. Get reminded its a giant fucking spider. Remembers that im a Knight and have no points put in Dex so i can use a bow to cheese it out. Nope Nope Nope Nope.
And So Gwyn was murdered, Well, Me and two other guys raped him. Now for NG+, Level 101. [editline]29th April 2012[/editline] and one hour later, I am at the Iron Golem, This is going to be an easy Playthrough
Do you guys highly recommend to play as a knight?
Pyromancer or bandit is the easiest imo
Pyromancer or bandit is the easiest imo
I tried out as a Warrior.
Took down Gwyn with the help of two others, now I'm gonna do a new character with this build. First playthrough was serious, now it's time to get silly. Got my zweihander first thing when I got to Firelink, and 20 minutes in I'd already taken down the Taurus Demon :V Man it goes fast when you know what to do.

Remember he is fast so you can only heal when he misses his grab attacks. It is also important to remember that if you run away he will do a massive leap at you so try and stay in the vicinity. I killed him easily in 5/7 soulmasses.
I really like the Wanderer class, the fast paced movement and quick jumps make it so much fun to circle around enemies and backstab them. Also relying more on parrying then blocking. Takes some skill and effort but it is immensily satisfying.
What level are you supposed to finish the game around, I get the feeling that 102 isn't the answer, NG+ is way to easy. Took me 6 months to get where I am now, Well, I couldn't see the elevator in Blighttown and quit the game for a long time
I play as a hunter my first time and long range battles are decent but I'm really good up close. I think it has to do with the chaos fire dagger someone dropped when I summoned them
Is there any advantages to having 2 weapons equipped in each hand? I'm currently making making a build where I plan to wield 2 uchigatanas.
Time to assist my bretheren in Anor Londo.
Is there any advantages to having 2 weapons equipped in each hand? But you can equip the Parrying Dagger which is great for parrying attacks and hurt enemies with fast attacks.
Been helping people out with the gargoyles for a few hours now, and joined some poor guy who was getting pummeled by a twink. I ended up destroying the twink with only starting armor now I feel like a boss.

Not sure if it has been posted yet, but http://forums.demonssouls.info/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=14908 is a good place to get started for build ideas if pvp is your thing. The first thing you need to learn about high level pvp is how to prevent gettting back/lag-stabbed if possible. Some bs scenarios are unavoidable which then requires an understanding of avoiding chain-backstabs. Just two quick tips for you fresh pvpers. I'll have my character logged in today while I prepare for my test for the next 4 hours, so if anyone needs helping downing a boss my psn is The_Grogel. I have done the bottomless box glitch so I can help with any level up to 125. Edit: Forgot to mention I'm a mule propogator. Q: What is muling? A: http://forums.demonssouls.info/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=14310 I am bound by those rules to forward this mule to 5 others. I have time to do one today so if any of you are interested, it takes about an hour. Apologies if this is old news, I just have to help out my good, old, favorite forum if I can.
