I usually just don't take it off period. It does take up a ring slot, but odds are that when you take it off you'll want it back on eventually. If you have another one, which you probably will soon if you haven't cleared Anor Londo yet, then go for it. Only take off the Ring of Favor and Proection if you have a second one. It's not worth breaking one of the best things in the game just because you want another ring slot for something that's probably less useful.
Ok. You seem to be referencing a second Ring of Favor in Anor Londo. As of now, I've actually beaten Anor Londo and have moved onto finding the Lord Souls, but I would be very interested in finding another ring. Is there a video/guide you could show or just some text to show me what you're talking about? For reference, I've already killed Lautrec to get this ring, so if he is involved in your guide, it's not going to work.

If you give Snuggly the Crow the Xanthous Crown from the Painted World she'll give you another Ring of Favor and Proection, so if you want one really badly you could do that.
I am currently playing as a thief, I have even more trouble than a deprived. The limited reach of daggers is a pain in the ass for big bosses. Normal enemies die pretty fast with parrying/backstab.

You can use whatever you want.
Yeah, now I am using spears for long reach and against other fighter/human I use to dagger for backstabs/parrying. [editline]10th June 2012[/editline] By the way, how can I forge a weapon from the souls of the bosses?

I thought you had to go into the catacombs to that particular blacksmith.
I thought you had to go into the catacombs to that particular blacksmith.
He does fire and Chaos weapons (After you give him the chaos ember)
Thank you Liem, that was helpful. I never had the Furysword in all my 5 playthroughs, I finally need to get it at least once.
Andre and Giant Blacksmith create different boss weapons.
Andre and Giant Blacksmith create different boss weapons.
Andre doesn't create any boss weapons, does he? I'm pretty sure the Giant Blacksmith does them all.
Andre doesn't create any boss weapons, does he? I'm pretty sure the Giant Blacksmith does them all.
He does Moonlight Butterfly's weapons, at least.
He does Moonlight Butterfly's weapons, at least.
The Giant Blacksmith does those as well.
I am also playing as a cleric, miracles are really cool. I want to unlock those awesome lightning bolts. Where can I buy miracles besides of Peter from Thorlolund?

Yeah, although it is very unpractical in a fight. It simply takes to long and you are vulnerable in that time. I hope there are enough offensive miracles available.

I think I may have choosen the wrong class then :v:
Pyro's first spell, Fireball, can kill the first Black Knight within a few hits. The only handicap is the delay. I've been playing a Knight ever since I got the game. I've recently made a lot of progress towards the end after I started it back up. I decided to make him Paladin-like. Way of the White covenant, miracles, high faith. The only other useful miracles I've found is Greater Heal and Homeward.
If you want lightning spear as a miracle, I think you have to join the sunbros.
i started out as a knight but got frustrated so i created a bandit and pooled all of my souls into endurance and strength i regret nothing
I think I may have choosen the wrong class then :v:
Uh, you can get The Wrath Of The Gods, which does massive damage and sends people flying back. You can also get lightning bolts and sunlight bolts from the Warrior of Sunlight covenant. Miracles have plenty offensive power.
I am missing a lot of the game then...
The three schools of magic have different specializations. Miracles specialize in defense and healing. Things that will keep you alive longer. Pyromancies focus on offensive abilities, burning your enemies up. Sorceries focus on a balance of the two. A jack of all trades but master of none school of magic. It has both strong offensive and strong defensive capabilities, but it isn't as potent in either category as Pyromancies or Miracles. But that doesn't mean each school is limited to those specifics. Miracles have potent offensive spells like Wrath of the Gods, Lightning Spear, and Sunlight Spear. They also have spells like Darkmoon Blade and Sunlight Blade that can turn your melee character into a powerhouse. Pyromancies have defensive abilities like Flash Sweat and Iron Flesh, which can make you pretty much unstoppable for a short period of time. Sorceries have the strangest exceptions, though. Dusk, found imprisoned in a Golden Crystal Golem after the Hydra in the Darkroot Basin, can teach you the lost sorceries of Oolacile. Such sorceries include Hidden Body, which produces a 'Ring Of Fog' like effect on you. It also has 'Repair', which repairs your weapon, 'Hidden Weapon', which makes your weapon invisible, and Chameleon, which makes you look like a piece of scenery fitting whatever area you use it in. So yeah. Each school of magic has it's specialties, but also has exceptions to those. Never underestimate any of them in any situation. They're all really potent and versatile, it just takes finding the right teacher for them.
How can I join the sunbros, I know that I need a certain amount of faith and that you have to go the sunlight altar or something like that.
How can I join the sunbros, I know that I need a certain amount of faith and that you have to go the sunlight altar or something like that.
You need 25 faith default, but every time you help someone defeat a Boss the requirement goes down by 5. Once you have however much the requirement is, you need to visit the Sunlight Altar inside the castle that the Hellkite Drake sits on top of. You pray to it, and you can enter the Covenant. You automatically get the regular Lightning Spear. Once you offer 10 Sunlight Medals to it, you get the Great Lightning Spear, and the opportunity to offer the Soul of Gwyn for the Sunlight Spear miracle.
Will be going on Dark Souls in an hour, if anyone needs assistance with any bosses like a particular bunch of gargoyles, let me know. Xbox only.
I've always thought of pyromancy more like a poor man's sorcery since you don't need to invest souls in intelligence to cast powerful pyromancy, just upgrade your flame every now and then.

Or you could punch people with your FLAMING FISTS OF FURY.
