honestly the supposed "imbalanced stuff" never bothered me, the only thing that always bothered me in PVP was the shitty backstab hitboxes and lagstabs people in giant's armor and great axe you can kite them all day long with a spear
The thing that kinda scares me more than the BB glitch is simply put, Its pretty damn easy to mod your save data too. Im guessing thats the reason why you have people with 99 + 99 Divine Blessings and hacked stats as a level 1. Of course, having hacked stats doesnt make you fully invincible, If it's someone who has 1900 health (The max you can get with 99 VIT), Weapons that cause bleeding are fucking lethal. And Falls are... well, pretty deadly if they have a ridiculous ammount of Health. This is the thing, SomeDumbShit. I wouldnt really recommend trying to do PVP untill you finish the game, and maybe in a character more orintated for PVP. Gear and stat wise. At least by then, you'll be able to get on their level when it comes to gear and such. And Input delay? I think thats just your controler. I might had played DkS on the PS3 once at a friends house, and it was pretty responsive. Im thinking its just the controler's wear and tear.

Generally, Most of the time, someone who invades is going to have Bottomless Box Glitched through items. The thing is, its less of a big deal when it comes to later on. The first playthrough, its going to be a bit of an issue, but when your character's at the pvp orintated level of 120, chances are you'll be in new game plus. I hardly doubt you'd use the character you first finished the game with for PVP. The next playthrough after that though, you'll end up Bottomless Boxing the gear from that character onto the new character to give you a "head start", which isnt too serious. Most of the time anyway. The DLC might resort to making it so the Bottomless Box isnt buyable untill the depths again or maybe even later, but really. The Damage kinda has be done and they might aswell keep it where it is now. Today's gift invasion's report at the Bridge spawn where the dragon overlooks. 25 Successful invasions. 18ish Newbies found, juding from their achviements. 15 Sucessfully gifted. 3 Boar Heads found. 2 Situlations of 3 vs 1 where i had to escape. 1 Jackass in Smough armor and i suspect hacked/powerleveled stats too, in which i invaded his ass about 5/6 times. 21 Messages received 1 friend request 1 event where i invade the same newbie twice. Gave him extra stuff. 1 "Friendly" Phantom killed me while gifting a newbie, gets de-summoned as soon as he kills me. And other junk i dont remember, I say that was a good run of gifting. I love my job.
I can't wait to actually figure out PvP interactions. It sounds like loads of fun.
It's great that I don't have Xbox Live, since then no one can invade me. :v: :smith:
It's great that I don't have Xbox Live, since then no one can invade me. :v:
You're gonna have a real hard time fighting Smough & Ornstein/The Four Lords by yourself. Also kinda makes covenents useless to you.
Soliare is excellent for them though. Only took me like 2-3 tries. With a slow knight character nonetheless.
Right, Started to do PVP, Either invading or otherwise. And i seem to get myself in 3 VS 1 situlations all the time. Just how on earth am i supposed to deal with them?

Invaded this guy at Sen's Fortress. Went to my usual hiding place and after awhile I recieved a message. The message was from the host saying "Hi". I replied "Hello" and he said for me to help him, that there was an invader. I thought about playing the jerk card and telling him to come to me so I could kill him, but he was pretty lost on what to do. I told him I'd help him get to the second bonfire. We made our way through the fortress with ease. I was worried he would have died at the bomb throwing guy or he would have overshot the cliff to the bonfire, but he made it through just fine.
What I love about this game is how badass it makes you feel when you win. Damnit, I just went up against the Bellfry Gargoyles armed with a stick and I sawed right through their legs with it. Richtor Belmont ain't got shit. [editline]5th July 2012[/editline] Also, fucking black knight. That fight was like a mix of Benny Hill and Conan.
Dark souls seems to never get old for me. I just love killing those gankers 3v1ing me without even healing once. It's probably the best gaming experience I've had to date.
I want to play as a pyromancer, although I do not know what kind of equipement I should equip or which weapon I should pick. Of course, I will be using the pyromancies but what else is a good build as pyromancer?

You could easily fit Pyro to anything. If you want, i suppose Fire/Chaos weapons would be cool.
Well, I might try some spears and helbards, I never used them in all my playthrough. Might be a new experience. How can I get fire and chaos weapons?
Weapons that scale off dexterity would go best with a pyromancer, seeing as a pyromancer's main stats are attunement and dexterity I guess. [editline]5th July 2012[/editline] Also you can upgrade your weapons into fire / chaos in the catacombs
http://mugenmonkey.com/darksouls/?c=2674787453213763 My current plan for my next character. The pierce shield at lightning +5 does more damage than an equally upgraded balder side sword.
Only barely. The pierce shield deals 225 physical and 229 lightning, and swag sword deals 220 physical and 224 lightning.

Thinking of just sticking with mid roll and throwing the wolf ring and red tear stone instead of fap and flip.
Gosh I am starting to suck so much at this game, whenever I played as a warrior/knight, things were a lot easier and I really digged those classes. Then I started as thief, deprived, cleric and now pyromancer. I really suck at those classes, it takes me a lot more time to kill enemies, normal enemies like the stone giants in the forest or the normal trees are really a challenge and are easily killing me. I think I am doing something wrong. My weapons also do not as much damage. Even with upgrading.
My weapons also do not as much damage. Even with upgrading.
What are you using? Scimitar is pretty much the best choice at the beginning, coupled with a spear for certain enemies.
Seeth was one of the easiest bosses I've fought btw. I don't understand why people have difficulty with him. [editline]5th July 2012[/editline]
What are you using?
Not everyone knows that you're supposed to [sp]break the pillar thing in the back[/sp], plus he curses people a lot.
Was so obvious imo haha
The hard part was having to go through the Crystal Cavern all over again when I died.
Dude. Fuck Crystal Cavern.
Man I love the Elite knight armor.

Who ever this dude is he, really deserves a medal.
Not everyone knows that you're supposed to [sp]break the pillar thing in the back[/sp], plus he curses people a lot.
The curse meter builds up so slowly, his attack animations are slow and noisy as fuck, he only has 4 different attacks he can perform (breath outward from him, breath around him, explode in crystal, tail swipe), he has no long range attacks at all, he can't attack you at all unless you go on the initiative since he's slow as fuck, he can only turn 20° every second or so meaning you can run around him faster than he can turn, he can only move 10 meters before he gets exhausted and has to pause for a second, sometimes if you're close to him but not close enough to not be in range of any of his attacks or he's looking in a weird direction he will just stay still and look like an idiot until you do something so his AI re-ignites itself. I'm sorry but I never understood how anyone can find him hard to beat other than fear factor after seeing a huge dragon slug fly into the room you're occupying.
