MW2 is going to get GOTY. Spike TV and its ilk want to appeal to as large an audience as possible.

MW2 was decent, Borderlands was good, I'm only halfway through DA:O so it has the benefits of being both long and good, AC 2 was well worth my money, L4D2 dissapointed, Arkham Asylum delivered, Shift was acceptable, Fuel was alright I guess, RF: Guerilla was pretty fun, Prototype was good, The Chronicles of Riddick Dark Athena was ok, GoW2 was meh, FEAR 2 didn't appeal to me but got good reviews, LBP was fun for a while and Far Cry 2 was pretty nice.
Yeah I agree no good games came out at all.
I'm only watching these awards really for the trailers.

Wrong. This year has been quite good. It hasn't had any real gems besides AC2 and Batman Arkham Asylum IMO, but it has had a lot of really good games all the same, and some not so great, but fucking fun games.

- Best Voice Acting Performance In a Video Game (Female): Megan Fox. Are you fucking serious? Who the hell played the Transformers game? And more importantly, Megan Fox can't act for shit. All she has going for her is her tits.
- Best original Score: Halo 3: ODST. Seriously...?
- Best Shooter and Best Multiplayer: Modern Warfare 2. I'm not surprised, too many IW dick sucking fanboys. Maybe it has a high for Best Shooter but in NO WAY is it best multiplayer. It's decent at best and it's also very unbalanced. Left 4 Dead 2 deserved Best Multiplayer.
I mean, ugh, it's just painful to watch. If Modern Warfare 2 wins GOTY (which it most likely will) I'm gonna be so pissed.

What exactly do they mean with "Original Score" anyway?
Looking at the games they've got nominated there, none of them are especially original in any way. Even some of my friends who are major fans of UC2 said there wasn't much originality in the gameplay and such there, it was just very well executed.
Of course, I might be reading this wrong, considering it's almost 4 am here.
