get to the generators, save, use your repair skill on it until its fixed, I hear you only have one chance to fix it so save before you do.
make sure you destroy all of the robots in the glow or you will be raped.

Shit. I'm starting to think that making a new character is the only way to do this. The gambling for guns strategy isn't working so far.
Nevermind, I stopped using the machine and just talked to the guy. Would a shotgun, two grenades, and metal armor be enough to take on super mutants?
And how am I expected to get 50k by gambling? It takes ages just to get 2k.
Nevermind. I just tried uninstalling them via add/remove programs. It worked somehow.
because you can't have the restoration project installed, its not compatible with the unofficial patch.

Well it depends on what difficulty you set it at but probably no.

There are various other ways to fix the problem, one involving not fixing the generators at all but turning them into a slowly ticking time bomb >:)
