My friend came over the other day with Borderlands for 360. He popped it in the 360 in my room, only to hear a really loud screeching noise come from the disc drive. I quickly ejected the disc, which was fine, but the disc drive would refuse to stay closed. I said, "Oh damn, I guess I'll need to get it repaired. Don't worry, I'll grab my brother's 360 and we can play it on there." So I went into my brother's room, grabbed his 360 and set it up in my room.
It RROD'd.

360 Elite + Cod4 (Bought 3 months ago) + Gears 2 for £200
Then I got my 12 Month Live + ODST for £9, simply cause I got a £50 amazon voucher off Lockerz.
Bought the following:
Extra black controller
Play & Charge Kit
Lego Indiana Jones
Sonic The Hedgehog ;)
The reason I got the kid-friendly games are for when my cousin and other family members come round and 18 rated games ain't appropriate ;)

As long as you ain't a dumbass and leave your 360 in the smallest space possible, blocking the vents, don't play it for 15 hrs + straight, and you have a Jasper chip xbox, then you are fine.
If you don't like consoles, don't troll in their thread. Go cry some moar.
Take off your xbox reality filters. While that may prevent RROD. It won't completely remove the very high chance or it RRODing. You're quite dumb.

If you are so much of a dumbass to leave it in a low ventilated area and play it for so long in a row, then that's you fault, not Microsoft's. Microsoft have practically made the Jasper Chipset's fail-proof for the people who are clever enough to keep it in a open space and have it horizontal.
The chance of RROD a few months ago was well above 50% and has about a 15% chance of failure now on the Jasper Chipsets.

There is a good chance it is higher than 15%, but instead of submitting the broken models to MS, people are now buying brand new systems to replace them, as it is faster. Besides, 15% is 15% too many in any circumstances.

No... Just no... I've had my Xbox for over 3 years and have NEVER had the RRoD
So,very high chance my ass
A few months ago it was over 40% atleast. It most likely didn't reduce.
