I noticed that he was saying it a lot but as others have said I thought nothing of it. I loved it when everything was revealed.
Not really, though sometimes I thought "Why the fuck is he asking me "kindly"?" Now on the other hand I always notice it when someone says it, be it in real life or in another video game.
Can someone explain why it is so amazing he was saying that? Spoiler tag it for others.
[sp]Jack (the guy you play as) was born in Rapture and was "coded", so to speak, to follow absolutely every order when somebody says "Would you kindly *insert action here*". So, even though you thought you were doing all of the things you did of your own free will, you never were.[/sp]

I hated Bioshock though, I thought it was shit and stopped playing.
Didn't really think about it until it was made obvious, i thought it was just a polite speech trait of his.
Nope
I never noticed it.
I noticed it I just didn't pay much attention to it. "Would you kindly pick up a crowbar or something?"
I noticed it when the lady said it at the beginning of Borderlands.
I noticed it but couldn't bear to finish that terrible game, so I only found out from Facepunch what it meant.
The storyline in this is good :unsmith:
I didn't, until Ryan said something about me being controlled, then when I got the flashback of every time Atlas would say "Would you Kindly" I basically was going crazy.
No, british people are naturally polite so i didn't think anything of it.
Have you ever met a chav?
I noticed it I just didn't pay much attention to it. "Would you kindly pick up a crowbar or something?"
Not a crowbar. A crowbear. Also, didn't really notice it.
I thought it was mainly Atlas' way of speaking, as he said it after everything, feeling like he wasn't quite right, but not to the point that he was a villain. Though the second I saw that wall with the would you kindly on it I kinda figured it out. Though I wasn't surprised when he turned out to be Fontaine, at that point I just figured it would twist like System Shock did.
I noticed it when the lady said it at the beginning of Borderlands.
Same :ohdear:
I noticed it, but had no idea there was some sort of insidious intent behind it.
I noticed it, and I just though it was his polite and well mannered-ness. *Cries about beating Adam to death with a putter*
at first I thought he was a nice guy then I had it spoiled for me by someone before i figured it out for myself, he then spoiled assassin's creed for me when i bought it sucks man :c
I noticed it when the lady said it at the beginning of Borderlands.
Yeah me too, I kept my ears open for any other "Would you kindly?" throughout the whole game.
I got rather suspicious later in the game, but had no idea it had with that to do.
Well, this thread just gave me a reason to stop playing Bioshock. Fucking spoilerssssssssssss
I think having played System Shock 2 made me know I was definitely going to be betrayed, and seeing Atlas conflict with Tenenbaum made me reluctant to trust him. I definitely noticed a lot of would-you-kindlies but I didn't quite piece it all together.
