To be clear, on Golden Valley, ruining the general area around a player's home is considered griefing, which is a bannable offense.

I've never played this game seriously. I already got bored of it, but making this desert has been hilarious, otherwise I'd have dropped out already.

To be honest, if it was in Freedom I could see where you are coming from, people are pouring money and time into the game, hoping they won't have their work ruined and if you were to go to wild, you could protect your land using sword and shield. However in GV, you get what you pay for, nothing. Although people may put time into the game, at the end of the day it is only there as a trial and introduction to the premium servers.

He likes to ignore the playerbase and do whatever he wants, and just cover up whatever broken-ass feature he implemented with more broken shit and pretend it was all intentional. That and the server has the scalability ever; it crashes CONSTANTLY.
