Is there sense in still buying a 360? - Games

Get it. You have atleast 3 more years until the next string of consoles come out. And since they are cheap and you're just getting one, it'll last you.

I would worry about red ring of death, because you will be seriously pissed-off when you'll get a RROD

They will stay at their present consoles as long as they sell and as long as games on them sell. There is no point for them to develop a new console if the old one still sells well, as their only interest is income (at least of the people taking these decisions).

I still think you should just upgrade your PC or if you GPU isn't broken buy some Games for things you already own. If you have a PC, you don't need a 360. Really. The 360 has great exclusives. The only Ps3 Exclusive I want is MGS4, but since they're making a MGS game for the 360, I'm probably going to feel the same gameplay.

The 360 has Halo, Fable, Gears 2. If you like those games, by all means purchase it. However, spending $300 for those four games may not seem worth it. What does a Setup mean? It's no different from any other console.

Dead Rising, GTAIV Expansions, Scene It! (Its actually a funny ass game to play with friends), Banjo and Kazooie, 360 has some great ass exclusives

There's a lot more than just those and you're just going to say that those aren't games you're interested in, but still, those are games some people want. Crackdown is a lot fun! So is Scene It. Dead Rising, I love but not much anymore DR2 is multiplat anyway. GTA IV DLC is going to PC. And I think Alan Wake is coming to the PC as well. I personally prefer the control scheme, it's more casual, yes, and when I want to play a game and compete, I will. On my PC. When I want to have fun, I'll be playing on my 360 for some kicks with friends. Also, Keyboard and Mouse just feel so fucking unnatural for some games. AC feels so bad because of it, Rogue Warrior is shit because of the keyboard controls, any third person game I've ever seen feels like shit. It's personal preference.

I'm also looking into getting a 360. Not because I don't have a good gaming PC. It serves me fine but I can't buy The Saboteur because I have an ATI card and don't know when the patch to fix it will come out, if it does at all. And I'm still waiting for the patch for Red Faction: Guerrilla. So basically, I'm sick of this shitty porting of games. I wouldn't have this problem with the console version and wouldn't have to worry if a game is going to work whenever I buy one.
