Challenge 14 seems broken it keeps giving a square root error.
No Challenge 14 is fine, you must not have coded it properly.

I've always thought a cyber punk or hacking game would be sweet. I know it's been done before, but those were text adventures.
I don't think I'll play though if only because I'm not an MMO fan and I have too many other games from last year on my mind :P

You might have fallen victim to a problem we were having with our chat -- that is now fixed, you should be already subscribed to a Help Channel at the bottom of the chat.
In answer to your first question, you can attack NPCs and Players and steal each other's money -- it's really quite a bit of fun ;)
Hello, It's been a while since I posted here. We took Hack Wars down for a bit and have been working on a giant update:
- We've fixed up the scripting language.
- Added tons of new programmable stuff (you can even make games in the game now).
- We added two new skills.
- added in quests!
- Essentially, we've been working our butts off.
Any ways, we got a good response from Facepunchstudios a while back, I thought I'd repost mentioning we've just re-launched an open beta of the game.

Is there a start again button as I played in the first open beta and it seems the account I used is messed up. I don't want to create another just in case I get banned for multi accounting or something. If you can't reset the account "Disarray" can you delete the account "Disarray" please.

It's somewhat text based, you have a desktop like you would on a normal computer and you can move the windows around, type in stuff, read stuff, hack stuff, yeah you get it :v:

The tutorial's broken for me..I've been following the directions but when I try to withdraw 20 dollars it says "Could not execute application on port 0. This could mean a program is missing on a default port." I also have no scripts in the port management thing if I should have any..
This is great. I got about $300 000 of accumulated pay since last logging in.

You need a banking script installed. You can either buy a basic one, which I believe is free, or you could make your own. Once you've bought it, just install it and try withdrawing your money then.

Not many developers or players have been in, it being the holidays. Usually if you asked in game we'd happily help you make scrips that do funky stuff like you're describing ;) Do you know how to program C? That's what the in-game scripting language is like. And we've got a section on the Wiki describing all the functions:

I need help. When I visited the site and clicked play a trust thing came up on java and I clicked do not trust on accident. Anyone know how to trust it? The trust thing dose not pop up anymore. Also I am on a Mac.

Hey. I thought I'd give this old thread a bump, and mention that development of Hack Wars has gone OpenSource... Making it not only the most in-depth hacking game on the Internet, but one that users can directly contribute to ;)
I'm glad this seems like a good game but..meh I'm not one for cats really.
