There is a timeline it's just very confusing.
The only thing that kinda annoys me is the fetch quests especially with passengers who say i should be more careful when the train is getting hit by enemies, despite that i'm trying to kill them.

To be honest I find the first 5-10 minutes of most Zelda games pretty boring. Always start really slowly.
ok people its a train big whoop they are trying to make things more intresting by branching out if you cant accept that just think they could of done a airplane
they are doing what they can to keep it going we all know that anything they make will never be like the originals cept tp did come very very close
