only ones ive played were code veronica, the original, and RE4 and RE5. my two biggest gripes with CV and the original are the controls and the backtracking. the controls are too tanklike and i hate backtracking everywhere trying to find some dumb item to continue on, and those ink ribbons pissed me the fuck off. because of those i never beat those two, but i did have fun while playing them and i think they're scarier and more atmospheric than 4 and 5.
re4 is the best i love it i beat it like 25 times its that good
re5 is like re4 but not as good. the coop and teamwork thing feels gimmicky and plays awkward, and really takes away from the fear factor the other RE games have. the places looked cool but the transitions from location to location where pretty ridiculous. all in all not as good as re4 but still alright.
I'm surprised everyone is picking 4, seems like no one played games back in 96-98
I loved 1-3 for their horror, but this is a discussion about which overall game is the best, and it's obviously Resident Evil 4, which is still talked about as one of the top 20-30 games of all time, not just top Resident Evil.
RE3's my favourite, 1&2 were awesome, didn't like 4&5.
RE5 is a terrible RE game I don't care what you buttpirates think.
You younger players wouldn't understand. Resident Evil 4 is a good game, just not particularly a good Resident Evil game. It was so vastly changed from puzzle solving to an action game. They tried to keep some older aspects intact, but it wasn't enough. They should have made the puzzles way harder, much like they were in the first three games.
My pick is Resident Evil 2. Something felt terribly off setting about RE3, though some might really like it.
If Outbreak was on the list, I would have chosen it. It was very similar to the older games, yet added a lot of cool stuff that made sense and gave extra depth to the game. Each character had their own personality and special abilities and were pretty good at following orders and cooperating with you. They didn't do too much stupid crap, other than perhaps switching an important item out of their inventory for something like ammo to keep them alive. The conversation system was awesome because they could tell you new things that they had seen and items they collected. The scenario level system was great and each gave a sense of progress as you got further through the level. The only thing I could have found better about it was that they somehow connected each level better.

Resident Evil 4 was a great game, and I've been playing the series long before it came out.

This post. 100% agree.
Outbreak really should've been more popular than it was.
I'm surprised everyone is picking 4, seems like no one played games back in 96-98
Yes, because no one can have an opinion other than yours, right?
I know people who liked RE2 but loved RE4 more, played RE2 first, and, contrary to your belief, aren't people who think that a good game is one with characters that have biceps the size of their neck and voices that sound like they hired a caveman to act.
RE4 was great but if you want REAL RE action then RE 2 is where it's at. I remember Outbreak. I always picked the asian girl because of her backpack. Better grab everything I can.
Resident evil got crap after code veronica. 2 was the best for sure. Tofu was a pimp
we need rusty up in this bitch
Why didn't you include Resident evil Outbreak #1 and #2
Those were my favourite
they where not the main games I could not fit all the Spin offs on the poll sorry
Put all of them please. Resident Evil: Outbreak is my favorite.

Code Veronica is a spin-off, yet you put that up there.

no it's part of the main or at least they talk about it in RE:5 besides I have no idea how to edit poll once I post it
how do I edit The Poll.?
Voted Zero, since it was the only Resi game I played that had the T-Virus in it and it was awesome.
Someone just reminded me of Outbreak 1&2, Never played 2 but one was the shit! Still preffered CVX and 4 over it though.

Try editing your OP (First post in this thread) if it's not in an option there your screwed.
Resident Evil 2, will be the last and only RE game I'll ever play, fuck the rest...except for the first-first one, THE PS1 one.

Code Veronica is canon.
I love Resi 4, it's an awesome Action Horror game.
Oringal Resi games are Survival Horror.
Liking Resi 4/5 more than 1-3 is almost like a generation gap thing.
The younger of our generation are too young to have grown up with Resi 1-3, the older ones, like myself, did grow up with it.
Doesn't mean you can't prefer Resi 4 regardless or vice versa, but it's definitely a trend.

the fuck you talkinga about get 3 !
zero b/c rebecca is hot
I'm suprised by the high amount of votes for RE2, I might have to see if my brother still has his copy lying about.. It's the only one I've never played.
zero b/c rebecca is hot
Gotta love the Cowgirl one.
Gotta love the Cowgirl one.
no i like her regular medic uniform
it's hot
They all sucked to me, but 4 was the one that sucked the least.
Gotta go with RE2. I loved the first game, but with the second game taking place outside of the mansion in the city and all really took the experience up a notch for me. 3 was good, 4 was really entertaining, but 2 is still the greatest IMO.
4 I'd say

Yeah I'd take Medic over Cowgirl. Though both were alright

Fuck you too!
I like to keep Resident Evil very, very, very nostalgic, as in: You still have to Press X to climb the stairs...and no instant counter from the Zombie grab.
I'm not saying RE 3 is bad, don't get me wrong I love Operation: Jackal, fucking love it.
