Well I dunno if it's that much of a strange gaming habit but sometimes when I'm playing a game I just like zone out and think about something else, while still mindlessly playing the game, and beating it.
Thiiis
Back when I was playing wow I pulled off my rogue rotations perfectly and just kept grinding with like zero concentration.
Sometimes get this while playing TF2 or GTAIV too. Especially when driving around in GTA. I can like watch the tv while driving and get around pretty good.
As a last ditch effort in the face of death, I spam grenades
Mostly in Call of Duty games
And STALKER
I save powerful weapons and end up not using them
I tend to drag bodies into a pile in stalker or fallout.
If I have the deagle in Css, I tend to quickly switch to the deagle to see the spinning animation, then press q twice to see it again. That way it looks its constantly spinning.
when i kill people accidentally in single player games i have a habit of loading the most recent save then not killing them, same if i kill animals and shit. I
In RPGs I always try to have attributes have a 0 or 5 at the end of them, like this:
Strength 40 or 35
I simply can't stand looking at 31 or 32 and so on, no idea why.
Well, in GTA IV I set a goal for myself.
I promised myself that no matter WHAT I was doing in the game, if I saw a jew, I'd have to kill him somehow.
That can really be a pain in the ass when you're getting chased by the police and you spot a jew walking around in the park. But it really creates some epic moments.

Oh man this kills me on FO3 and Oblivion, I can't keep my stats uneven, if they are I have to train them up to a 0 or 5, or force myself to level up for the skill points.
Jumping. Constantly. Everywhere.
Seriously if the game has a jump button I can't got more than 5 seconds with out subconcoiusly pressing it.
Ah, the so-called Morrowind syndrome!
After taking a shot with my sniper, I double tap q of whatever the quick switch button is before shooting again.
every time I jump I almost always hit the crouch button, if this is a game where courching and standing up take an age i usually get shot. Thanks TF2 :frown:
I do reload constantly, but I always find myself firing a bullet off just so I can reload :f5:
I recently watched qball's RA2 walkthrough on Youtube, hell I watched almost all of his walkthroughs (Expect the China ones, they're boring) and now I have this urge to narate an RTS game when I'm playing it, like:
"Okay, now we need to sell this off and build a spy."
"Okay, you'll need to bribe an engie infront of the barracks *Bribes engie* Now send him back to the barracks, after that, build a few more engies at the new barracks and destroy the base on the inside, and sell it."
Mind giving me a link to his channel? A search only gives wannabe chav channels.
Sometimes in FPS games I'll move from left to right while moving forward to make it seem more realistic.
I have a tendency to jump, all the time.
Stupid Brutal Legend and it's lack of a jump button. THERE'S A WHOLE OPEN WORLD THAT YOU CAN'T JUMP IN.
Tim Schafer is usually brilliant, but man he overlooked that . . .
In single-player RTS', namely Act of War, I use coordinated infantry tactics, organising them into eight man Fireteams, with four basic infantry, two snipers, two anti-tank infantry and two elite infantry (IE the Delta Force Operatives). I also sometimes just mass up big rushes, making three or four maximum sized groups, and preserve the elite troops and form one super-group who will always spearhead an attack. I also build as many hospitals as possible so I can MEDEVAC the wounded elites (and whoever else I can save, but experienced soldiers have priority)
I love that game. Have a heart.
Also, in RTS games, I always have to build that 500th unit, even if 499 are already ready for action. Not just for a round number, but because I clicked the icon already, and can't bring myself to stop the production.
I tend to narrate games I'm playing like I'm explaining how to play it to someone.
Also in RTS games, mainly RA2, I have to conquer as much of the map as possible before killing the enemy, I name my best/most bad-ass units, tell my guys what to so as if they could hear me, and make my bases as neat and realistic as possible.
tl;dr: I turtle like a motherfucker.
If a game features dismemberment, I always decapitate them or destroy their head after they die.
I crouch jump in almost every game. I did it in Fallout 3 all over Megaton. I try to climb buildings, which is ridiculously fun in GTA IV. I almost never reload when I should too.
i always cover my cock in apple butter before i play
You must have an expensive cock, because apple butter goes for about $6 for a little jar these days.
Also, I change the graphics settings all the time if the game runs a little too choppy on the highest settings.
I reload all the time. It's great getting killed in CSS or CoD while reloading when you shot once just to reload. I should make a timer or something for the reload button, like, "don't work in 10 seconds after reloading".
i constantly try to upgrade my iq, but i need more experience points and sometimes it get resisted all together.
Whenever i walk past my kitchen sink, i have to rinse my hands.
Oh and I can't play a new game unless my room is very clean.
If there is a knife or melee weapon that kills everything in one hit, I have to go Rambo on everyone.
Also, if there is a melee attack and enemies become knocked back or stagger from it without dying, I always hit them once, and watch the staggering/recovering animation and shoot them in the face when they stop.
I go out of my way to contradict orders and directions in FPS and RPGs just to find out how NPCs, the environment and the game in general reacts. This includes murdering my allies in cold blood, destroying my surroundings or simply going off the beaten track in search of loot or enemies I might have missed.

This with the Dragon's Tooth Sword in Deus Ex.
In RTS games, especially C&C, I build a massive base with tons of defenses and lots of refineries. I grab every little piece of resource available and build an unbeatable army while doing so. I keep expanding my power with smaller bases around each ore field. Eventually the enemy's economy gets reduced to a third world level, and I destroy all of its defenses with tactical strikes and super weapons. At last I roll in with my breath and fps taking army and obliterate everything. It takes needlessly long, but I enjoy it for some reason.
No better feeling than selecting all units, clicking the middle of enemy base, then leaning back and sipping coffee with a smug smile on your face.
Any game with jumping, I always jump... they called me tigger in WoW.
If the game has an F5 save button, I save at least 5 times a minute, whether I'm in combat or not... nothing irritates me more than re-doing stuff. If there is no quicksave, then I generally get bored of the game after a few deaths (dead space)
I love jumping onto places that most people don't realize you can get to.
Also, any game that has usable urinals, sinks, soda machines etc... I always use and enjoy it very much. I love games like Max Payne where you can walk around opening and using stuff, I spent an hour in his first house just pretending to live there.
I always have to do everything in the game twice, via autosave or whatever.

And then I always have to do everything in the game twice, via autosave or whatever.
If there's some part where something jumps out at you, I sprint through it, screaming, while staring at the floor
For tf2 i have a habit of spy checking for no reason, and it always feels like theres a spy behind me.
