Somehow I believe you can go back to the island. Those stargate like rings on the docks in one of the comparison videos makes me wonder, unless it's just for show.

Those are for show for sure. They don't look like the alien tech at all.
But returning to the island is a possibility.
I totally know what the game is about from seeing that trailer.

It could be human tech, and it doesn't make any sense putting that in just for show anyways. Why not just use the map like it was?

Because they wanted to show off the cool plasma effect.
If this isn't much more demanding than the original then I'm sure my current setup should be able to run it at the highest settings no problem.
Why don't they implement the bouncing colored balls then too?

This is one of those rare sequels that I can wait.
Those rings from the old tech trailer were probably just for show. If they aren't... then perhaps at the beginning of the game you're still on the island? Who knows.

Gamestop shows it as December 31st... but I wonder if that's just a tentative date. I'd be surprised if they would release it that soon AFTER Christmas. Hopefully it'll be an end of November or early December release.

I believe it's meant to be coming Late October to Early December.
Man, I am looking forward to this. It seems they added a lot more action and fixed what was wrong with the first one. Shooting people seems more fun now as there is more "Umph" to the guns.
I'm probably going to pick this up.
I hope this game doesnt cost more than 50 bucks.

well, it would be a good enough BS excuse if the developers are ever questioned as to why there are Great Whites in the Hudson Bay.
Hope they still produce a quality product on the PC version as much as the 360

Am I the only one who thought Crysis looked beautiful of course, but was also fun, and had a decent storyline?
Storyline felt it was from a summer blockbuster action flick, but I didn't hate it. Gameplay was pretty fun and the fun was expanded hundredfold once I got the Gears of Crysis mod (slowmo).
