I want to make a [I]Evolution of Pudge in Diretide[/I] video. He's always been a great pick but his rosh fighting changed from trolling to godlike cleartime.
I just made a blessed egg figuring I won't get any unusual essences. Fingers crossed it drops something nice.
Just learned that repel cancels the tp delay when you got candy, really useful to pick him and build boots of travel.

30 mins per 2 items max, let's add odd 1 item per 5 matches to be generous.
Thats 150 minutes for 11 items.
209 - 33 = 176
176/11 = 16
16 * 150 minutes = 2400
2400 / 60 = 40
40 hours of Diretide if you were very lucky with drops and wins. Diretide is since 10 days I believe, 4 hours a day of very lucky Diretide.

this is true, we play in a 5 man premade and pick 5 strenght heroes with stuns so we win almost every game
that and the fact that we play atleast 5 diretide games every day

And did I say there was no fun ? I said non-exciting, and let me explain why.
It's hard not to have fun in a group of 5 friends, but by sticking to safe guidlanes that Diretide mod favours ( tough heroes who can brawl, win early engagements and roll on them, or blinkers as long as there are no disables for them) you make it seem as you were going only for victories, not actual gameplay fun.
Diretide isn't a tournament, get a random, try out guys, get a meepo and do some crazy back and forth poofing mining.
Whenever you were matched against another 5 man with a plan, sure,then it's all fair game as both sides come equally prepared and determined, but I do believe that quite a few of your games were stomps. Be it due to enemies being less than 5 premades (4+1, 2+3, 2+2+1) and willing to have fun, not tournament or because you've outmached your opponents fairly.
That makes 50% of games that seem fun for me, and 50% where enemies had no fun what so ever, and it's imporant both sides have fun, because if they are not, what's their reason to play ?
I am not undermining your achievement by any means, thats a lot of victories that took a lot of time, but given what Diretide is, you more so abused it, at least in perspective of that 50% games I've mentioned.
If you believe differently and can argument that, please do so.
We all are pretty 'high' in the 'skill' level so we get a lot of even matches, hell over 18 matches were OH GOD KICK ONE OF THEIR CANDIES TO WIN. We got matched with a lot of 5 man (all have same tags etc), but in the end we prevail. And no one was like 'trying out' heroes, every round enemies were picking solid picks (at least when we were full 5).
(funny thing is the matches we lost were people that were not 5maning but merely all random vs us (we also got stomped there))

People really need to love the random button more.
It's been fun struggling as Spectre to be useful or trying to somehow find solo targets as Nyx.
I need a team for this, i've been pubbing diretide since the start and i'm lucky if I get atleast 2 people that understand the basics of the game.
I got this one mirana who kept complaining because I misclicked my astral imprisonment. I screwed up maybe twice throughout the whole game and she kept egging me on. In the end we won, and I force staffed her into roshan's attacks every time. She never know who was doing it :v:
i had horrible games where people disconnected all the damn time at the start. well apparently in one of those games i left after it was safe to leave, i got the fucking corpse maker.
