Half life 2 Episode 3 For PS3? - Games

Bottom line: Valve doesn't want to lern2PS3, EA sucks shit at porting their games for them, so unless Valve get someone else to do it (Certain Affinity helped them with the 360 version of Left 4 Dead so they're not completely against the idea) it won't happen.

I read an interview with Gabe earlier where he said they felt bad about fucking up the PS3 version of The Orange Box and wanted to stay away from PS3 until they could do it properly.

I dont think that hl2 ep3 is coming to ps3 because Gabe is good friend of Microsofts folks and they dont like if they make hl2 ep3 for ps3.

Essentially it is multithreading (which is a bitch to code...or so i hear from programming friends) Several cores doing different things, then meshing it up to complete the picture. Gabe is an old school programmer, and he apparently sees it as just too complex to get the programmers to do it in. Why spend time and money on a ps3 port that is half as good as a 360/pc version simply because of the coding.

Valve games cannot run on PS3, because they are too high quality for it. Thats why L4D and Orange Box are more focused on PC and Xbox (they will be releasing DLC for 360, not for Ps3 from a blog post awhile ago)

I disagree, it shouldnt, not that i dont like my pc but id rather run it in HIGH on my ps3. and leave me PS3 games to my ps3.

My rig costs fucking < $350 It runs every game I have so far at max, with very high FPS. PS3 seems like a huge ripoff. Good graphics? Maybe. Great optimization? Totally.
