I bought it. I don't like the way it's animals during the day and enemies during the night. It was more fun when they weren't segregated.

I find that night is too boring, and, as infdev has respawn, I stow everything but an iron sword, and some porkchops in my base and go face the night like a REAL MAN. I stealth around, and take out enemies. It is a lot funner, and I enjoy minecraft more now. Plus I get feathers, string, arrows, and gunpowder.

You need Iron Picks to mine Diamond. Without them, you can't. But whoever said "quality over quantity" - that doesn't really apply here (in my opinion, of course). Even Iron doesn't last all that long while mining, and you're better off with a bunch of stone picks than a few iron picks. Also can't play Minecraft this weekend because I don't have access to my good computer. This game is surprisingly a massive resource hog... Take your sweet time, Notch, no rush. But be done on Monday. Not before it. I want to be able to throw celebrations at an update at the same time as other people.

I decided to play with NBTedit on a new save file because I won't cheat on my own. I layed out many stacks of TNT and detonated it. My game crashed but when I came back the majority of the map around me was a crater. Well worth just playing around with something you would never really be able to do in the real game.

It's actually going to be a large tower once I work up to making a proper staircase up it's center. I also changed my bridges to wood and added a miniature dock. There isn't too much to report on it besides it's appearance, I did major renovating to try and make it look less boxy.

Sorry if I'm asking a noobish question; I only got into Minecraft in the past couple months. I've been playing Infdev for a few weeks and I'm finally at the stage where I'm starting to build large structures and expand outward over the land. Anyway... I tried some Infdev, got killed at night checking if it was day, then never found my base again. Notch needs to do something about getting killed and respawning at night.

Also when you first start a game dig around where you spawned and make a wall around the spawn point. That way you can just stay in the little hut until it becomes day again. Or turn it to peaceful and walk to your base then turn it back.

Anyone else here us e the floating islands map style?
