They don't work, I've tried. Since they aren't actually attached to a address/ person, most sites won't accept them.
After closing my "door" (blocking the frame up with stone blocks) and crafting some stuff, I open it.
...to find night has fallen and there are six skeletons standing outside firing arrows at me. :gonk:
Thankfully I only opened the top half, and was able to close it back up. Not good though - I had to eat all my pork!

Top tip, open the bottom half first, it doesnt set creepers off, and skeles cant shoot through it.

I learnt that they sometimes do.
Massive hole in the side of my outpost and a flood of spiders.
Earlier on I was just chillin' and then opened a hole in my mine and like 5 spiders poured in. My life was only preserved when I shoved my tunnel full of sand.
Later on, I was in my sturdy wooden home, opened up the back wall and about 5 skeletons, like 4 spiders, some skeletons, a pig and a creeper were sat right there waiting.
Yeah, I'm gonna start a new save.

I find creepers useful sometimes. I just lure them and let them explode and I use the holes as new mining spots. So far hasn't worked so well.

It'll probably be the same as hosting servers in creative.
Which means you can set it to private so people can only join via the server link. Public servers will probably be terrible. :v:
