What is the path for the infdev save files in Ubuntu?
Notch blog'd yesterday!
back to work in a few days! After compacting my schedule a bit and putting in a full week of work at jalbum, i had my last day there a bit over a week ago. Since then, i’ve done almost nothing other than play games (the end of rdr made me cry manlytears) and eat food. On tuesday, i will get back to work, but this time working full time on my own company. First up is a little game called “minecraft”, you might’ve heard about it. It’s been in development for slightly over a year now, and is very close to beta. To get me started, i’ll work on some fun small features, like a new game launcher, some new block types, a new monster, or possibly fixing the water. Then once i’m back up to speed, i’ll get multiplayer out as fast as possible, ignoring any potential bugs and flaws in the first release. The idea is that it’s probably faster to fix bugs and rewrite parts of it and do frequent updates than to sit around for a few more weeks and working as slow as before my break. In the meantime, much love! I’m off to enjoy gotland! :d
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

Found a fuckton of iron, cleared most of it out [editline]02:07PM[/editline] Hell. YES.
luckyyyyyy D:
luckyyyyyy D:
I tend to dig stairs all the way down to the bottom (one block above lava) and just go forward. I've found 114 iron blocks just by doing that.
I make a quarry and just dig whatever I can out, I usually strike alot of coal, since I have 100 sitting in a chest.
I have a metric buttload of coal, but like nothing of all the other important ore-related items. In fact I got so tired of having to go all the way back up my mine when my pickaxes broke that I made an entire inventory's worth of rock pickaxes and brought them down to the mine with me. A skeleton spawned in there while I was gone and killed me. I have yet to re-find my base. :smith:
A few more trees and it will reach the clouds :v:
Burning down the most annoying trees ever
I get a couple picks, find a good place to dig, build a deep hole, keep going til I find a rock vein, mine it, go back to entrance, jump and fill in with rock I have mined up, repeat.
/home/<username>/.minecraft/saves
Thought so. Thank ya.
I would like to give InfDev a try but it's too jittery im getting fps drops every second, so i stick with InDev. Also how do you take screen shots?

It's much more efficient and good for future use. Oh, and if you don't want massive FPS drops, set your view distance to "normal" instead of far.
Am I the only one who actually puts Workbenches in their lower caves, as to avoid walking all the way back up to make new pickaxes. :v:
Am I the only one who actually puts Workbenches in their lower caves, as to avoid walking all the way back up to make new pickaxes. :v:
I make a bunch all over the place, same with storage rooms.
Am I the only one who actually puts Workbenches in their lower caves, as to avoid walking all the way back up to make new pickaxes. :v:
Naw, I do it too. The deeper down I go a set up "workstations" with a bench and furnace. Kinda like a home away from home.
Am I the only one who actually puts Workbenches in their lower caves, as to avoid walking all the way back up to make new pickaxes. :v:
Not really. My mining cave is so deep, that I go there during the night and by the time I come back up, it's midday. I have no use for it, because I need to do things outside when the sun comes up.
So I have a bunch of trees around my house, and I want to get them down... But the trees are really close to my house made of wood. Is there any way to get the trees down without catching my building on fire?
since we were talking about our mines i thought i'd post a picture of my biggest one =) there is a "workstation" behind the lava pillar on the left. it's average 44 long, 45 wide, 4 tall =) so uh.... 7920 blocks >.> damn.... didnt think it was that big xD
There should be more types of trees implemented, making stronger bows and tools and shit. It would make an axe more useful.
@LeetPeet How do you get lava to go up?
since we were talking about our mines i thought i'd post a picture of my biggest one =) there is a "workstation" behind the lava pillar on the left. it's average 44 long, 45 wide, 4 tall =) so uh.... 7920 blocks >.> damn.... didnt think it was that big xD
How did you raise the the lava? Damn ninja
It's a glitch, if you have a hole down to the lava at the bottom of the map and place sand above it, the sand will turn into lava.
The room must have orginally been full of lava, and he got rid of all of that while encasing some in the glass. EDIT: Ah, I'm stupid. Read above post. Oh, no, as it turns out, I was right! Read a few posts down.
