I had the PS2, X-box, and PC versions. No fucking idea why I got all three, I guess I was hoping something was different for each version. Ended up selling the PS2 and X-box ones. Still have the PC version though.

I didn't really care for Zoo Tycoon's portrayal of violence (or rather lack of it). This one has dinosaurs killing other dinosaurs and eating them, as well as tearing people apart like ragdolls.

I can't remember where but they had some people re-work the entirety of the AI and island sizes. Made the game pretty playable on Site-B, and the dinosaurs could go in water above their head. Spino did this neat little "from water" rush and kill attack that was apparently still in the files.

Now I can't stop playing this. Damn you Facepunch. :argh:

Still have this in my PC pile, planning the park layout so that it's sole meaning is to kill as many quests as possible is always fun.

I remember I had the demo on my dads computer, but I couldn't find out how to get people there, so I just made a bunch of dinosaurs and watched them walk around on the island and eat things.

Nothing better than getting your park wrecked by a tornado.

I had Homocephalae's running around free in the park. Until the Raptor Pack got out and killed them all. And the cleaning crew.

This thread is full of win. I loved playing this game, spending countless hours making a park and putting big dinosaurs in it then demolishing the fences and letting them roam through it, killing all my visitors.

I don't know why I even bother making Dryosaurs. They just die in 5 seconds due to malnutrition.

Man, I loved this game. Just watching dinosaurs roam around gave the game a peaceful "play this when you just want to relax" feel to it. I always made one hugeass pen and put every single herbivore species I had available in it, then gave my remaining cage space to Carnivores (though I always spawned additional herbivores in the carnivore cages to make them appeal to the Dino-Nerd guest group.). No matter how good any future Jurassic Park games (or just games featuring Dinosaurs) end up being, Operation Genesis will always remain near or on the top for me. Unless they make an updated version, although I think park sims have gone out of style these days. Have they?

One of my older favorite games, just like roller coaster tycoon I would build up overly complex parks and then let them fall apart and watch everyone die horrible deaths. Good old nostalgia

modding genesis Great community, and Genesis Expansion Pack really adds some much needed tweaks into the game. The only thing I don't like is the T-rex skin, but that's easily changeable with the movie skin pack.

Was I just unlucky with a corrupt Options Setup or was the setup just always broken? I think it was an exe that changed options outside of the game and I couldn't do anything but change resolution because of it :saddowns:
