No errors.

Even though the ports are open, I think the problem lies within the router. So I am experimenting with opening some ports et cetera.

Oh god, mining down to the bedrock for my first time just there.
I go down about 40 blocks, then i come to a cavern, i make a ramp down and set up some torches.
2 Creepers emerge out of the darkness at me, i panic, turn and run and equip my ham in case of the worst.
I turn around into a group of bouncing green pixels, FSSSSSSSS BOOM.
I survive but it is suddenly pitch black, then 2 creepers start flashing in the dark, FSSSSSSS! I eat my ham and jump out of panic. BOO-BOOM.
I survive with 2 Hearts, but i can't see and i can hear the rattle of a skeleton, so i throw my boat on the floor and break it up, then set the wood alight on the floor for light, (i had no torches left) and i run like hell back to the mineshaft, I look up.
It was Night.

I love this game.

What is there to do in minecraft other than build and explore? I've played it so much that I never really know what to do when I play.

I'm bored of building towns and castles with nobody in them. I need quests, or things to fight, or something other than building I guess.
Not that we don't have things to fight, it just feels like the combat is missing something.

Go underground and try to kill 10 of each mob, or build whacky inventions, or go online with some friends.

Y'know, with zombies being bugged, it's a little safer at night, and the living dead end up hugging me instead of hurting me.

Though I appreciate the advantage, it's kind of a loss of challenge, so I hope Mojang fixes it so that zombies aren't hugbies.

Whoa, the Gerudoku texture pack is really really good looking. Am I the only one that believes modding minecraft with texture packs will kill it soon, so when I go back to the default minecraft I'll be like, wow... this sucks.
