1.) Is it pay monthly or one time purchase?
2.) Once i buy it, is it like steam whereas i digitally own it on an account
3.) Do you have to pay for any updates once bought, eg if changed from beta to release candidate do you have to pay?

2.) It's like steam
3.) You don't have to pay for any updates.

You'll have to pay for future expansions if you bought it in beta or release, only Alpha's get the free expansions perk.
