Here are my ideas for a better AI in minecraft.

[tab]-[/tab]Passive creatures attempt to run away from you if you hurt them.
[tab]-[/tab]hostile creatures have some sort of path finding
[tab]-[/tab]hostile creatures that wouldn't be able to affect you from a distance in the real world won't in game;
[tab]--[/tab]E.G: Spiders can only hurt right up close, but zombies can hurt from a distance
[tab]-[/tab]hostile mobs have some way to get past basic materials;
[tab]--[/tab]E.G: Zombies can dig dirt, gravel, sand, etc... ( very slowly though )
[tab]-[/tab]the damage delay for all creatures is much lower ( currently at 500ms for all creatures )

The damage delay should be lower on medium and even lower on hard.

I see it the other way. Cheating for Diamonds is dumb, cheating for dirt isn't. It's much more easy to install TooManyItems and press O and get some easily available dirt rather than go and dig it yourself.

For example, I no longer cut down trees. I just hack it in. Might be shunned upon by some, but seeing as the materials are right there for you to get, then why not get them instantly if you're as lazy as me? Same goes for crafting without a workbench/furnace. My Iron pick broke when I was down in my mine, so I got rid of two sticks, one coal and 3 iron ore and gave myself an Iron pickaxe.

I understand cheating for dirt, as the effort to get dirt is minimal, and not really rewarding.
