So just to clarify, ramdisks only speeds minecraft up if it's singleplayer or if hosting a smp server right?
Is there any specific server that is considered 'best' for locally hosting? I want to try and see how it'd work out for me.

Brohoster is pretty cool, has downtime every now and again but it lets you manage your own plugins which is pretty bro and theyre cheap

Okay, i need some help here. No matter what i do with my house, when i go to sleep in my bed i get woken up by a monster for the first three tries, how do i change this? what does the bed check for to see if you sleep or not?
Does anyone know where I can get the pre-alpha versions of minecraft?
Or were those paid?

Any monster within 2 blocks will be teleported next to your bed

Not only is that piracy, notch has said that you shouldnt do that even if someone DOES have the game. He doesnt want people sending the .jars around.
