I really hope it isn't an MMO. There sare already enough of those out there. If they do have multiplayer, it should just be 4 or 8 player or something.
An MMO would kill the series.
An mmo would kill the series imo, If it were like borderlands it would be better wow, ninja'd to the word by 3 minutes
An elder scrolls MMO would kind of defeat the point of you being a very, very rare sort to be 'adventuring' and it wouldn't really be possible for them to portray areas they've already used because it would have to be completely different to fit an MMO template. Shame about no TES V, maybe one day...
I wouldn't mind a TES MMO with a world size of the first game.
I hope not. MMO's mean it can never be as good as single players RPG as certain great features aren't feasible at an MMO stage.
I'd say that a Fallout MMO would be much more likely. There are some things that would be in an MMO I would like though. More lively world, fighting real people in an arena, trading, crafting perhaps? Unique enchanted weapons, people who are very good in alchemy can make a business out of selling potions, etc. Granted, while part of TES is about exploring and figuring out things on your own, that part might be ruined in an MMO because you could always ask someone. But I guess we can do that now on the internet anyway. There doesn't seem like there could be a big giant quest where you save the world because it wouldn't make sense with 1000 chosen ones or whatever. Still, I'm sure they can make it work.
Heh if the MMO comes out, you'll start, walk out, then some fucker with top notch skills in pickpocketing will just sneak up on you, and steal your clothes off you.
Oh god, Maybe it's Rogue warrior 2. Nooooooo
Hopefully TES V will fix the problem of leveling being detrimental. (It's easier to complete the game at lower levels, because the monsters you face are much weaker/ poorly equipped.)
Probably should be the other way round this time...

But as far as TESV goes, They should really add the weapons that they dropped from Morrowind. I would love me some throwing knives. Also, they should make clothing/armor as varied as it was in Morrowind. They should also streamline some things from Oblivion, like make ragdolls heavier than a piece of paper, add many more NPCs in towns (PLEASE!), and other things that just make sense, like guards moving dead bodies off the street in town.

You'd need a restriction that only allowed offensive action on players greater or equal to a level 5 less than yours or something. Or consider pickpocketing PvP interaction, and so that would only work in a PvP zone, but then you'd need PvP zones, and it just goes on and on and on...
I'm kind of hoping it'd be more like BorderLands where you CHOOSE when to play with others.
I'm kind of hoping it'd be more like BorderLands where you CHOOSE when to play with others.
But then it wouldn't be an MMO.
But TES in MMO form would be almost impossible. [editline]04:36PM[/editline] But Bethesda's smart, they'll find a way. :v:
There would have to be many differences and sacrifices, but it's very possible.
But that's the problem. With so many sacrifices and differences, it wouldn't be TES anymore.

I remember I used to steal people's keys and have a collection of keys for each town in my houses.
That's true. But I guess we'll just find out if it's revealed at E3. I can't think of a way it would work without being too different, but if Bethesda is doing it, they definitely know what they're doing. They wouldn't risk their original and biggest property on something they didn't know they could do well.
Perhaps it'll be one of those "PvP all the time sandbox MMOs" like Darkfall or... that other one.
I'm betting its TES5. You heard it here.
Completely ignoring the fact that Todd Howard specifically said in october they had no current plans for TESV?
Completely ignoring the fact that Todd Howard specifically said they had no current plans for TESV just in the fall?
It doesn't have to specificly mean it comes out this fall does it?
It doesn't have to specificly mean it comes out this fall does it?
Let me rephrase that. He said it LAST FALL. as in october.
Am I the only one who thinks a MMO will just ruin what made TES great?
No, most people think that. I'm just a bit less pessimistic.
Completely ignoring the fact that Todd Howard specifically said in october they had no current plans for TESV?
Oh whoops! Oh wait... in The Infernal City - *gasp* - the last few pages said something about the next game in the series coming out this year. Also published last fall. :smug: [editline]06:58PM[/editline] As in November
Ah damn! I forgot about that! I read about that awhile ago!
