The singleplayer in MW2 was extremely short, but entertaining. Nobody buys it for the singleplayer though, so arguing about whether to buy it or not based on that is ridiculous. The multiplayer is worth a purchase for the console. I can't speak for the PC version.
I bought Dragon Age, but encountered a bug that made me lose 4 hours of play time, and I haven't had the willpower to go back and replay it, so I can't really comment there.
Assassin's Creed 2 is very good, and while it isn't much different than the first one, it's improved in almost every category.
Forza Motorsport 3 is a great decision if you like racing games.
I want Beatles Rock Band, MW2, or Assassin's Creed 2
I'm thinking Assassin's Creed II. I loved the first one until the repetitivity came in, and I've heard that isn't as big of a problem in the second go around.

how about not paying 60 bucks for it? have a little sence and find places where it's sold for less?. got mine for 30. 60 is an outrageous price for that kind of single player, but the multiplayer is extremely fun. half-lifes single player was slow and forgettable. the only half life game to impress me was EP1 and 2.

we've got a lot in common. KZ2 kept me busy early this year and i may pick it up again early next year. but those late released map packs just leaves the half of the community that can't pay for em out of the game, kinda sad.
I bought the first one when it came out. And I never once was able to play it. Not even when the second one came out.

DLC is not just green grass and happy bunnies, it divides multiplayer communities, and that's bad. DLC for single player on the other hand, is ok. but expansions is still preferable.
