Then you die and start over, but I've been playing there for a long time and have only died once (lost a level something less than 10 hunter when I first started) Also, it's the spirit release button that erases you, not the falling over dead part. If you've got someone nearby who can res you're fine.

And if you are bad enough at the game where you die regularly it probably would be. It isn't really frustrating, it just makes you play the game differently than you would on a server that doesn't have that feature. For example there are lot's of herb/alch's (even warriors will often be herb/alch to have a way of keeping themselves healed when alone), lot's of Druids and Priests, etc. It's really no different than hardcore mode on Diablo 2.

Some private servers have you level up the same way you do in retail... Level 1 with 0 gold to start out with. Some of you guys need to chill the fuck out with hating private servers. Private servers are more of a 'demo' of WoW in my opinion. I used to play on a private server (WoWlegion) and once I knew I was actually gonna like the game and not waste 30 bucks for a card, I decided to go retail. The 1 week trial doesn't show you enough.

Private servers don't give you a good idea of how the retail is.
