I am in the Yantar Mobile Lab, the zombies killed everyone outside (Clear Sky by the way), I can hear them outside the door :ohdear:

You know what's fucking rediculous? LURK monster difficaulty. First of all since LURK is being all realistic I can't carry enough ammo for my primary weapon for even the most easy tasks. When I do get to a lab, like the one where you have to shut off the brain machine, I'm mostly out of ammo. Down there there are all monsters which drop NO ammo. Even worse there are lots of Bloodsuckers down there which take over a clip of ammo to kill, and they run at near light speed so it is impossible to even hit them unless they are in your face taking 1/3 of you total health each swing. Even if it were not for the bloodsuckers there are those rat things which also run at near light speed but are smaller than a coin. And finally there are those one fat things which shoot energy at you or whatever the hell. Anyway, I don't get how you can possibally do ANY of that with the little to no ammo you are bound to have anyway.

Oh, and lets not forget those magic flying boxes wich fly fucking everywhere killing you in no time. Serriously, what the fuck are they thinking!?
I mean really, how did they come up with that. I bet it went something like this:
"So guys, have any design ideas today?"
"I have one... what if we throw shit at the player?"
"You mean like to scare them because that would be creppy at first?"
"No, I mean all the fucking time. Every time they are in a corridor or lab, we'll throw shit at them the whole time, better yet, it will hurt them and evenutally kill them."
"Won't that get really annoying?"
"Naaaa... I think that sounds like a really good design choice!"

You could kill the poltergeist and sacrifice some of your inventory space for more ammo by giving up other things you don't need.

Pick one gun, grab several medkits and bandages, than fill up with some ammo. LURK is designed to go for a more realistic feel.
I decided to do it recently... hiking with a backpack with 40 pounds of metal in it is pretty fucking hard.
If you're going into a lab with no prayer of finding any ammo, than you damn sure better bring some with you.
Good hunting, stalker.
Also, I only ever play stalker on the hardest difficulty setting, so I am very aware what I am talking about.
That's something that confused me about Yahtzee's review of CS. He said that he was playing on normal and it was too hard. Master mode would be like replacing all the enemies with fire breathing golden lions, and all your guns with water pistols.
I think Yahtzee might just be bad at STALKER, or me really good.

HOLY SHIT! I made that image.

Enemies could use the same guns in the same condition and hit you from dozens of meters farther away than you could hit them, plus even bandits could survive multiple shotgun blasts at point-blank range. Yahtzee would have been better off playing SoC.

CS was hard for me on Hard or above, but I suppose that's why it's called that.

we need a Stalker version of this. Like a Bloodsucker or monolith doing this.
yeah, I'm tired of looking at that Ghoul's ugly texture.
Except for the fact that when someone asks to recommend their best mod, that is of course an opinion, and therefore you should give what your opinion is of a good mod. It's the responsibility of the downloader to find out if they'll like it or not. Alternatives are provided by other posters with differing views. Two examples of these would be someone like me, and then someone like you or Jamie.
You make good points, but I'm reffering to those who write "Get X mod, mod Y is crap" instead of saying something like this: "I like mod X because of reason Y"
Bloodsuckers aren't really that furry.

He was sketching, not trying to draw fur...
Don't think it's meant to be furry, just a chicken-scratch drawer.

Yay
The image Red Katana posted is a "swamp creature", or simply a swamp bloodsucker.
I'm going to start using mine from now on.
Brow raised, just for Sibilantjoe

Feel free to color it anyone, I would but I'm not that good with Photoshop.

The fur reminds me of chewbaca
someone should make a shirt with a silhouette of that guy and subtitle it "GET OUT OF HERE STALKER"
I'd like a black silhouette of the guy, with his head light casting something something dajsnfj kfg

Good luck to me in the mandatory military service carrying a RK-96 (AK clone) and 95 pounds of other shit and running in the forest for two weeks avoiding all the grumpy DI's.
Good thing I'm joining the airforce nothing bad ever happens to helicopter pilots.

SoC vanilla is even harder. Empty one magazine in the head of an enemy, and he shoots you.
Good luck.
