I fear big mutants, mutants bigger than yo' momma'
great, now stalker is crashing when I quicksave in pripyat.
Once you're familiar with all of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s quirks, the game stops being scary. I think the only way to revitalize the fear would be a complete overhaul that's completely fresh. Call of Pripyat is a great game and easily qualified as a better game then Shadow of Chernobyl, but it's afflicted by being the third game in a stagnating series. I'm really looking forward to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 more then anything else.
Hopefully, with a promising new engine, new enemies and new environments, STALKER 2 will "revitalize" the series (of course, this is assuming they are indeed switching to a new engine and developing new stuff)
Oh god I can see it. X-Ray Engine 2.
They'll spend the first two years making the game and the last 5 years "Polishing" as seen with SoC.
I'm willing to wait, and hopefully Duke Nukem forever will come out at the same time too.
Oh god I can see it. X-Ray Engine 2.
it would destroy my computer.
I can fix his bad breath problem with my SHOTGUN MOUTHWASH! Still going to shit mini bricks though :v: And when I entered the tunnel system under the nearby institute something was fucking with my view.
That's a controller. Better pack some grenades, too.
:tinfoil: It was hard enough to look straight ahead. And I was nowhere near that radioactive muppet.
it would destroy my computer.
It would destroy Crytek's computers
Actually I think the bloodsucker is harder than the controller. Besides the rats that come with the controller you just have to keep leaning in and out from the doorway and you can kill him. The bloodsucker, however, can stand hundreds of bullets to his head and always hurts me. :saddowns:
I think I have the pattern for this game down now. Above ground, but outside of the middle of the zone is fairly FPS and action oriented. Anywhere underground or in a tunnel system is going to be survival/ horror based. Shame the horror bit is my weak point in both games and films :frown: Time to man up and take it like a real stalker would.
Have you guys ever looked into what comes with the Clear Sky collectors edition in Russia.
Yes back like what, last September of 08?
I've never been a fan of collectors things like that. Honestly, I'd maybe flip through things once or twice, then leave it on a shelf or under some crap to gain dust.
I haven't gotten a collector's edition of any game since World in Conflict. I liked the russian flag cover.
Yes back like what, last September of 08?
Sorry... I just found this for the first time and thought it was really cool.
If I only still had the image of STEAM when it was 3 AM on the launch night of CS. Stupid valve time.
If I only still had the image of STEAM when it was 3 AM on the launch night of CS. I was quite surprised walking into the Gamestop from the food court and seeing Clear Sky on the shelf, there were only like 3-4 copies as well.
Lucky Bastard.
I was visiting my cousin and didn't have access to my computer, and was hanging around the mall with him when I picked it up. I was in the Tri-Cities for a week, and there were still 4 days left. I thought about just driving back but then I thought how lame that would be. It was a mixed blessing, that vacation.
I never played Clear Sky, I think I'll get it for Christmas.
its pretty good so far, I joined Duty.
its pretty good so far, I joined Duty.
damn naz- I mean, dutyers.
played clear sky a few times, always end up joining Freedom because they're just too damn awesome. I want to try joining Duty this time, but I also want to get an SVD and upgrade it completely, only the freedom guy can do that, right?
