RivaTuner OSD. Just set up background monitoring in the hardware monitor, then click the "Run Server" button in the monitoring panel.
The Call of Pripyat sub-quests still amaze me.
I understand that, but really, there are points where it simply ridiculous from a design standpoint. I understand they want to have realism but they forget that along with realism you also have to have good game design. It's easy to turn up everything and make it seem realistic, lower what you can carry, boost monster speed and HP. What I am talking about is that parts that are simply not fare from any standpoint. Such as on the last mission, I got blown up by a helicopter no less than 40 times, not even kidding. I spent an hour of my time trying to cross the street. Even then there were TONS of hard soldiers while helicopters how missiles at you that damaged according to radius meaning the damage traveled through stuff. Other points where you have little to no ammo and your down in a lab while you are CONSTANTLY getting shit thrown at you; at that point it isn't even fun. I mean it's a great mod and has a lot of potential, they just need to tone down some things. Examples of balance: Near the start of the game: killing dogs in difficult because they run so fast you have to SPRAY a clip around till you hit them, mostly due to the fact that they run 30 MPH and turn at 90 and 180 degree angles at a time. Bloodsuckers run very fast to the point where it is hard to pick them off at long range, especially with their cloak, so you either have to run away or wait till he gets extremely close and then you empty a clip into it, jump around while reloading, and then empty another clip into it causing it to die. The Labs are simply ridiculous as a whole, no ammo, super hard monsters and lots of them, anomalies that half-kill you every time you get near, Snorks are extremely hard to hit and have tons of health. Near the end of the game: Helicopters kill you like nothing... and that's about it. Near the end I found it to be mostly balanced and fun, especially where you are outside. Though at the VERY end where I would supposedly be fighting the hardest soldiers, it was actually the easiest part of the whole game. This was partially due to the fact that they mostly didn't bother to shoot at me in the first place, and that I could jump into a room and spray bullets before they got a chance to react. In my opinion, this mod would we better if: Stopped shit from getting thrown at you all the time in labs, because seriously, what's the point in it? At all? If monsters were generally slower and more consistent in movement so you could actually do something to them. And finally remove some of the bodies and helicopters at the end of the game, it's just way too much.
I know some of what I'm saying has been said by NecronLord, but I have things to add. Kill the poltergeists. [sp]Little bluish lightning clouds[/sp] Also, IT'S THE ZONE. You shouldn't be able to walk around killing things as if you're the child of God and your hand can shoot never-ending lightning bolts. MUTANTS ARE DANGEROUS THINGS don't go running up trying to play patty-cake with them and expect to get away alive. Also, it's the military taking the most valuable place in the Zone! What do you expect, teddybears and rainbows? And even if you don't buy that, it's the last level of the game, it should take time and repetition to win. I'm sorry if this post seems mean, I just don't like it when people start thinking that the Zone is just a little candybag for them to stick their hands into. In that respect, I think Holden improved the zone dramatically.
Can someone help me make blowouts shorter and more like a sudden burst of energy instead of sitting in a building for 10 minutes? It's fucking annoying. The first few times it was an "OH SHIT" moment, but after you've lived through a few, they become a nuisance popping up at the worst times. You can't sleep through them, so you just get up from the computer, have a snack or something, and hope it's over when you come back. It completely breaks the immersion after you get used to it. What I hate even more is the camera shaking. One time I was in the garbage by the warehouse when a blowout occurs. I go inside for protection since I don't like wasting medkits and antirads. Then bandits come in. Normally I would just shoot them, but NOOOO you camera just HAS to shake uncontrollably when you're in a blowout, yet everyone else still has their aimbot abilities. The only thing I really like about them is the fact that they cause more artifacts to pop up, and the initial panic is cool. The time is unnecessary, I'd rather it do damage at a faster pace and be a lot shorter.
Doesn't LURK 1.1 contain the shorter blowouts? Whenever it gets released that is. (never) Also I'm thinking about mods already, I'll keep it vanilla u til this run is done, but should I download one of the big mods, lots of the smaller mods, or attempt to modify things myself? I'm usually a fast learner so it shouldn't be too hard for me to learn to mod right.

Long build-up, during which time you run the fuck to cover, then HUGE DISCHARGE that will irradiate you to a ridiculous level unless you're under cover.
Lets see, blacked out tabs, downloads in progress/finished, windows media player. Boy you watchin porn again?
Yes, so?
I always fap to bloodsucker porn, that shit is hot son.
SPAS12? Fuck yea!
in lurk I use the saiga 12k to deal with bloodsuckers.
How did you get the saiga?
How did you get the saiga?
barkeep. he sells them. if it's not there you can "cheat" by quicksaving, then loading until he has it.
barkeep. he sells them. if it's not there you can "cheat" by quicksaving, then loading until he has it.
I've never seen one. It sounds like it would be great for underground areas. This is actually one of the couple reasons I switched to OL for now. I liked some of the new weapons, the Benelli M3 Short, the Saiga, the MP7 and P90, I've fallen in love with them all. It's nice that one of them is already in LURK and another is going to be added.
barkeep. he sells them. if it's not there you can "cheat" by quicksaving, then loading until he has it.
eh, not really cheating. cheating would be more like making it so wolf gives you a SEVA, a Gauss gun , and 3 million RU.
eh, not really cheating. cheating would be more like making it so wolf gives you a SEVA, a Gauss gun , and 3 million RU.
One time in CoP, I used a mod to give me everything at the beginning and when I cleared out everything that I couldn't carry, I crashed.
eh, not really cheating. cheating would be more like making it so wolf gives you a SEVA, a Gauss gun , and 3 million RU.
It's exploiting a glitch in the games mechanics.
in lurk I use the saiga 12k to deal with bloodsuckers.
Saiga plus buckshot rounds = Utter mutant scum destruction. When I bought that I could've swore a Duty member had a tear in his eye.
I got a problem here guys. I just finished the X16 mission. I was on my way back through the place. I got to where the elevator is, but the problem is that i didnt take the elevator, i took the side ladder. Not it wont let me climb the ladder... I'm using OL 2.2 btw.

I just downloaded a folder of STALKER wallpapers and I just noticed... There is no wallpaper with a duty member / symbol, I've seen freedom though at least three times. GSC Loves freedom!
Saiga plus buckshot rounds = Utter mutant scum destruction. When I bought that I could've swore a Duty member had a tear in his eye.
Is the Saiga good with slugs as well? If it is, I just found a new favorite weapon.

You'd really get that sense of panic that you have to get to shelter fucking quick, and it wouldn't be immersion breaking from lasting too long. I remember my first blowout, I was like ,"FUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCKFUCK" as I was sprinting to the nearest building, and then I just sat there for ten minutes and I was all, "well, this sucks."
