S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread: Invincibility Fridge Edition - Games

SoC keeps crashing on me, I can't go 10 minutes without a Complete and total Lockup that forces me to reboot, very rarely does it actually crash to desktop, and when it does, there's never any error log about it... It isn't RAM, My HD is Defragged and nice and neat, I've updated video Drivers, the game runs fine then out of no where HEY, FUCK OFF I'M CRASHING, It just does it, always when loading data of some sort as I'm playing

What are the best mods for Clear Sky, or heaven forbid, should I play it vanilla?

Playing STALKER and drinking vodka is the best combo.

I think vanilla clear sky is much more enjoyable than vanilla SoC. I've tried a few clear sky total conversions, but they were just crap upon crap. Right now the only thing I have in clear sky is a mod that makes bandages give a small bit of health like in shadow of chernobyl.

Since it's the best Clear Sky mod out there.

Anyone else notice that all nightvision in LURK is good nightvision? I think that LURK should have more light weapons. I'm a guy who most of his time is spent hunting for artifacts and stashes, and having light weaponry like carbines and smgs would be the second coming of Jesus for me. And medkits are too heavy. .75 KG? I have it set so that different medkits take up different weight, regulars take .35, military medkits take .55 and scientific medkits take the full .75. It feels more natural.

I am infinitely in love with pistols, I basically try to use them in every situation imaginable. :D

I love the feel of pistols. There's just something that feels so right. Except for when you put silencers on them, they always lose the feel, I like it when my gun makes a loud bang. But if I had to say I was infinitely in love with any weapon, it would have to be the carbines and SMGs. I'm a man who loves exploring, and their light weight is the best. I hope that LURK 1.1 rebalances weight.

Hmm, clear Sky is £4, I don't know whether I should bother getting it or not. I am still nowhere near having finished and played SoC to it's full potential.

So how 'scary' is Clear Sky? I'm a complete pussy so I want to know before I buy it.

I want a coop STALKER mod, that would be fantastic.
