Amazing... That's exactly what some people were suggesting in the 20 page thread at their forums yesterday. Although he did say he like the idea of a system that would reward certs offline based on how much time you actually spend playing the game a bit better.
My game crashes when I launch it after this latest update.
What giveS?
So does this mean, you get the ability to sub for a set amount of station cash a month?
Last night on West 01 my squad organized a huge tank convoy. Other squads joined in as well.

The subscription will probably be through credit/debit cards and paypal.
It seems NC is the most inaccurate though.

Go back to the previous page for suggestions.
Mine's crashing too.
I've already tried validating the files and turning off Avast for a few minutes and it still doesn't work.

Aw yea, I was there too (Ghost102). That was quite a feat of organization, I wish it happened more often.
Should download and run CPUID Hardware Monitor while you play. It'll tell you your current temperatures for CPU/GPU/ Lowest they've been since starting the program, and highest they reached. If you're video card's artifacting only after a few minutes, it sounds like it's overclocked too much or just over heating with some sort of fault. Using Fraps may cap the framerate while recording, hence them possibly going away, since less GPU power is being used... Maybe
Played for about 5 hours

Nothing went over 60c and still had artifacts and got no artifacts in other games.

Have you turned off all programs that could be attempting to interface with it? Such as the Mumble ingame interface, Steam overlay or Fraps?
Does anyone perchance have any spare keys going? I have a copy myself, but I really want to get my brothers set up in this. Twitter for me seems to be a lost cause, same for my brothers apparently. If anyone does. I'd really appreciate it if you could PM it to me.

Oh wow, I thought they would have gone with a middle ground where paid players get certs at the previous rate and free players get half of that. I would have been okay with that too. I was very impressed with the way a lot of people were handling the feedback this time around as well. I didn't see many "OMG SMEDLY FUCCKK YOU MUNNY GRUBBING DOUCHE FIX DIS NOW" posts, but rather a lot of people writing long, detailed explanations as to why removing free passive cert gain would eventually push away a lot of players.
Way to go, community.
-snip- Sorry read the thread

I know they need to make money and everything, but the whole "Double resource cap as well as 50% additional resource gain" for any resource that's not arauxium will throw off the game balance. Like I said in an earlier post, someone with fully reduced vehicle spawn times and a vehicle spawn time reduction implant will be able to constantly spawn vehicles nonstop, which means taking out a skilled mosquito pilot bombarding your base means nothing, because they'll be back within two minutes ready to rain down more hell, and they probably won't run out of resources to do so before you lose your base.

The thing is though if you are skilled and good at what you do, you don't really need the extra resources unless your faction is extremely territory starved. I can generally survive in one role for an extended period of time - and ideally everyone should strive for those. Of course kamikazi tanking/galaxy has their place and playstyle, but a skilled player will likely not have issues with even default resource pool and gain, assuming they stay where they are right now. Maybe if said player is having a bad night.

Before I start here, let me say that if players were able to let others drive their spawned vehicles, while of course still keeping the one active vehicle per person at a time thing, you could stop reading right here.
The problem here isn't with skilled players being able to maintain their vehicle so much as it is with one player making a name for themselves as being an excellent whatever driver, whether that be to you personally or to a group or outfit. If you and your squad personally know that "Larry" is a great Liberator pilot, and see him bombing the tech plant that you're trying to capture, you can make it an active objective to shoot Larry down. Do that 2-3 times and that's the last you'll be seeing of him for the rest of the battle unless he comes in armor or on foot, seeing as none of Larry's teammates can spawn him a Liberator and let him fly it.
But now that Larry has a resource cap of 1500, he can easily come back to the fight upwards of 6 times. Him needing to do so is no fault of his own, but of the teamwork of the people attempting to shoot him down. This puts squads up to the problem of constantly having to deal with the same threat over and over, rather then putting the time and resources they devoted to dealing with that threat into the battle at hand.
Now, you could say Larry isn't that great of a pilot for constantly returning to the same battlefield, maybe taking a few people out, and then getting blown to hell. But at some point in time Larry learned that he doesn't need to worry about getting blown up if it means he can get a few kills in in the process. Hence, he just rushes the location he knows he'll find people.
I could see it being a problem in certain situations, that's all.

Is this the Esamir update? If so then losing all my hard-earned certs and Auraxium will be worth finally getting my MCG

no just a character wipe
Is there any recent update on a timeframe for Esamir?
Esamir will probably make or break the game for me in the long run.

You can. Push "N" and you can let other people drive your vehicles (everyone or just squad mates are your options)
You can. Push "N" and you can let other people drive your vehicles (everyone or just squad mates are your options)
That's never once worked for me that way. All I've ever seen it do is change who can enter my vehicle, nobody is ever allowed to drive it.
You can. Push "N" and you can let other people drive your vehicles (everyone or just squad mates are your options)
I believe only the Squad mates / platoon option allow people to drive your vehicle, though obviously only your squad and platoon members.
Though if you just simply buy another vehicle while the other still exists, it gets "Disowned", letting anyone take it.

I was under the impression that if you spawn two vehicles, the first one explodes violently.

Well they're going to be showing off Esamir for next FNO, so it should be soon.
Are there any news on when the steam overlay crash fix coming out?
