I said 7 hours fyi, based on the standard +30 tick (which comes every 5 minutes). Anyway, I'm sure we would all like to know what exactly you're doing in 4 or less hours to get 2.5k aux, because I can't replicate that amount.
But why are you only counting passive income?
Passive income is not your primary income source.
I remember fell i jumped of a high cliff.
But instead of getting death i skied of the ground like I was in Tribes.
No damage.
I have a habit of trying to ski with light assault :v:

"Suit mod: frictionless boots - 50 Cert points"
I'd get it
so has the patch been postponed?
But why are you only counting passive income?

Because the active income is miniscule. I can play for hours and rack up hundreds of kills at a 5.0 K/D +... and still get barely any extra auraxium.
Yeah I have a lot of trouble getting resources. I could have a 10/1 kdr but still don't seem to gain anything as quickly as I'd like.
I'm getting a rather stable income of Auraxium, currently have 19k.
Took me about... 3-4 days to get it.

If you got a 10/1 kdr you're clearly being overly cautious and your exp per hour must be very low.
If you're in heavy facility fighting then your aux flows in like a stream.
I mostly play inf on NC with a 12x scope and suppressor. I guess you could call it cautious.
Well thats hardly going to earn you EXP hoarder of the year.
I just got 25 aux for nuking a magrider as a HA.
[editline]20th September 2012[/editline]
now I just got like 60 aux for killing a galaxy

HOW COME
Well i got 500+ exp for the magrider, and 1300+ for the galaxy.
4% of that is then converted into aux.

He never said it would take 11 hours he said it takes 7 hours to get 2500 and 11 days (at 3 hours a day) to get a 12500 araxium item
Honestly what they should do is simply make it so your territory size = passive araxium gain, major bases are multipliers to this (like 1.25x), and make it so you get araxuim for XP everywhere, in addtion to whatever resource is in the zone you are in (if you are fighting in a main base, you get no extra resources per XP - its only araxium).
Have it so if each faction had 3 main bases and equal territory, the passive rate would be something like 22-24 araxium per 5 min (so it's lower than the current 30). However because you get auraxium everywhere, you get much more araxium in-come overall by simply playing (without it being so much that you simply don't bother using the store). Also gaining territory always has a tangible araxium benefit - you will always gain passive arax when gaining territory, and a good chunk of some when you get a main facility. This also means people who get pushed back still can get araxium even without main bases.
AND on top of all of that, people will fight more in the fringes - since you get araxium anywhere nobody feels compelled to only fight in araxium zones. And because if you do fight in an araxium zone you can't get bonus resources (since they don't generate anything else but araxium), people will feel more compelled to fight inside areas they need most.

Wow, does that actually mean they plan to deliver the patch tomorrow without screwing up the play time?
I will believe it when I see it.
I was told there's going to be a performance patch for dual core CPU users. Is this glorious prophecy true?
According to Higby.
fucking finally
i hope it runs better than BF3 now
(yes BF3 runs better than PS2 somehow (???))
I get 25 fps in bases with a high end rig. What am I doing wrong? I even put PS2 on my SDD.
it might not be optimized for SDDs.
there's no such thing as not optimized for SSDs. As far as the software cares, it's just a faster hard drive
it might not be optimized for SDDs.
No no, PS2 benefits greatly with an SSD.
At one point in the tech test it was practically essential.
and putting it on an SSD to increase FPS is stupid and unreasonable, best case scenario you shorten load times.
Only the world's most unoptimized crap actually needs a fast hard drive and I can tell you first hand that this is much more optimized than saints row 2
Meh, half my games benefited from putting them on the SSD.
In a game like Planetside where assets are constantly popping in and out of existent it's important to have a fast drive.
i have a pretty slow drive and i don't have any performance issues at all, an SSD should only make a difference when the process is paging. most of the game's resources should be in the memory, if you're trashing a lot you should get more memory.

then you've probably got 4 GB or less memory. Considering that 10 years ago my stance was 1GB is all you'll ever need this is pretty funny, but I think 8-12 GB is probably the minimum amount for gaming computers today
i swing by just fine with 8.

I have 4 and I've actually never had any FPS problems with PS2 or anything else, ever.
I'm running 16 now, but up until a few months ago I was running 8 and doing semi-ok, but in games with massive maps I had some issues

8gbs.
But you're acting like this isn't a well documented problem with planetside 2.
