I find it funny that with just one small-tweaks patch and them letting in thousdands of people, the gameplay and feel has dramatically improved compared to last week, even though we are still missing a ton of things and all the features coming in soon that'll make base capture much better (like no backhacking, new base capture mechanics, etc). Still missing higher level command stuff, missing lots o certs, missing "proper" base and territory capture mechanics, instant action still sucks (even if you can't spam it now every minutes since they put in a 3 min timer [it should be more like a 20 minute timer]), etc but somehow the game just feels miles better thanks to the massive amount of players added and the little things they did put in (changing warpgate locations, max units can't capture, spawn beacons, etc).
I should buy an SSD as I've been wanting for a while now. I got more than enough to do so, just gotta put a tiny bit of effort in finding a good decent prized one :v:
Anyone have a spare beta code? Ive had a station account forever but apparently wasnt actually registered for the beta

For those that don't know yet, you can get a key by asking in the twitter, just be patient and don't spam since they are getting a load of tweets. [editline]26th August 2012[/editline] DAMN IT
god damn what rustled TR's jimmies in east01? they're hammering everyone.
TR really perked up in EU1 earlier also. Just rolling round the map.
Makes me laugh when mosquito pilots do an aileron roll. oh fuck you totally lost me by maintaining course and rotating!
is everybody and their nan in beta now
Asked for key on twitter a few hours ago, still nothing, they really got flooded with tweets.
This game is incredibly fun, especially when you are apart of a large battle
Why does this game keep forgetting my keybinds :(
Asked for key on twitter a few hours ago, still nothing, they really got flooded with tweets.
Spam them with a message every few minutes, don't leave it at one message and hope for the best.
the NC tank clusterfuck in Saurva was a sight to behold. like five tanks stacked perfectly on top of each other, due to the way the game handles vehicle collisions
Pulled off a brilliant assault on the VS Bio Lab not too long ago! We started by silently taking the surrounding caps on the ground, then Alpha and Bravo squads (I was in Bravo) regrouped at the vehicle spawn under the Bio Lab itself. We were planning on rushing right through the teleporter but the base went into lockdown so we had to wait 4 minutes. 4 intense minutes of "ENEMY CONTACT, NORTH." and hoping we're not noticed. After the 4 minutes we got a confirmation that two other squads were incoming via Galaxies so we did a 10 second countdown and massive rush. We took F with ease but were having issues with D, the enemy had five or six MAXes waiting; they took down most of us. Me and four of my squadmates were losing hope of getting it but then we saw the two Galaxies. It was like finding an oasis in a desert. The Galaxies landed and massive amounts of units rushed out, rocket launchers everywhere. About 20 seconds later we were cheering about getting the final caps. There were VS bodies everywhere. Afterwards we went back to our Warpgate and decided to split up, real life business for many. I fucking love this game.
I always seem to end up showing up to battles late, and hotspots never seem to actually be intense battles for me. Any ways of finding more intense battles?
I always seem to end up showing up to battles late, and hotspots never seem to actually be intense battles for me. Any ways of finding more intense battles?
a fun thing is to go to an adjacent enemy base that isn't a hotspot. start capping some points, and soon enough it will be one :v:

Anyway I spent a good time today looking over all the new certs (even though they're not unlocked yet), and the depth of potential customisation and character building is something to look forward to. From body armours, to gadgets and types of ammunition. Even the store only is showing a fraction of stuff we'll end up buying, and even then it's only showing us weapons. Not the several shield types you can buy for the HA, or tools for the infiltrator. Also it looks like they're going to be improving weapon customisation. Currently you have one sight slot, and one utility slot, but I think you'll be able to add barrel attachments along with rail, ammunation and sights. Which'll be nice. Not to mention all the stuff we'll be able to do to our vehicles ffff
I hope they end up giving all the beta testers some free shit :P
Maybe a free customisable like a badge or something wouldn't surprise me.
I can't wait until they put in the adjacency requirement for capturing bases. The frontlines will actually become frontlines.
Is anyone else getting pitch black interiors and shadows? When I'm in a shadow or inside a building it is unbelievably dark and I can't really see anything.
I hope they improve the performance sooner than later because Planetslideshow 2 is not very fun
You guys should add this to topic To get beta keys follow this link! http://twitter.com/planetside2 And to get one follow so they can direct message you!
Some upgrades seem ridiculous though. Reviving grenades for medics? I thought this was supposed to be a sci-fi game.
The best thing is the fact the grenades can revive yourself if you drop it before you die
EU01 what are you doing?
Some upgrades seem ridiculous though. Reviving grenades for medics? I thought this was supposed to be a sci-fi game.
they seem to take after a lot of games for some departments for here, revival grenades are easily explained by using metal gear solid's common explanations, nanomachines
