The problem we had with outfits is that people got in a outfit just to be in it, really no one played together.
well now that we have actual server names, the knowledge that uswest/east doesn't have that much a lag disparity, and no one having selected a server yet, we can actually organize outfits properly
i highly doubt organization is even worth it
i've seen a ton of groups try to have multiple outfits designated for infantry and for armor and for piloting and it's like wtf, just make one company and stick to it you idiots.
a company to me is just a thing you can join so when you get in the game you can just get on company voip and say "hey are you guys in a squad right now, if not LET'S MAKE ONE" and then go from there
that's what makes voice ops so successful. or made it so successful. people would see voice ops in the squad page and join it immediately and in no time you'd have three-four voice ops squads because people want to join squads and companies with names like that because it keeps likeminded tactical-friendly people in mind without being "lolo army ranking and super severe realism"
like, i'm all for facepunch companies but honestly you guys are overthinking it. correct me if i'm wrong but one facepunch company per server should be enough to suffice. you're really just looking for players who aren't total douchebags to join it anyway, but if we all have a thousand different companies then what's the purpose

umm, but all i'm looking for is a facepunch general outfit, and to have all the facepunchers on mostly one server (one us and one eu) instead of spread out as badly as previous

Soon...
Oh god the patch notes were actually humorous. I didn't know that the people working on this would put some character into it.
Did this patch included performance for dual cores?
I haven't been able to boot the game past the initial loading screen for a few days, it just hangs there forever and locks up my computer to the point where I need to force it to restart. Anyone else having trouble with getting it to run?
We're almost done deploying the build. We still have to run tests to make sure the issues we ran into this morning have been resolved.
Very soon..

It sounds like you've been trying to play the game outside of server hours.

Nope.
Euuegh 3 gb patch.
Servers going up any minute accord to higby.

Hah they broke the MAX units and have disabled them.
I registered the character name "BuzzCutPyscho"

Then promptly went and fucked around in a liberator with all the galaxies doing the FNO thing right now.
Check the minimap to get a good sense of scale.
Jesus christ I love Light Assault. I was in this huge place where they're these things that makes you jump from towers to towers and I was just jumping around that killing a shitload of Vanu entering and leaving the AA guns or just snipers, got a killstreak of 12 in about 3 minutes before finally going down to 3 Vanus.
Themisto (US East) minutes after the servers went online:

I had surprisingly good FPS at the time.
Did TR get a damage boost on their infantry weapons in that last update?
I just finished playing the new "patch" and so far its kinda lame. It seems to take way to long to get anything. Like certs and whatnot. But hey who knows if they will bring it back to what it was.
Also it seems like the prowlers main default weapon got a huge damage boost. FINALLY!

they better have.
half a magazine to drop a light assault I THINK NOT

Yeah seriously, in the same amount of time I played today, I got something like 50 certs to unlock my C4s before and today all I got were 2 certs, I understand they want the progression to be slow but holy shit.

I remember killing people relatively fast as a Light Assault sometimes ago but I did see a slight change, people seemed to drop much more quickly today.

yeah, even as medic i've been getting kills left and right.
for some reason the NC absolutely refuse to fight back when we capture their points. VS always put up a huge fight but every time I engage NC they just pretty much let us massacre them. what the hell guys fight back
There are currently huge performance problems related to vehicles.
goddamn what did they do this update this is the worst performance I've had yet
[editline]21st September 2012[/editline]
like 15 fps was the absolute most I was getting

NC's assault weapons are underpowered so a lot of people just go infiltrator
Lolwut 5 fps flying around in a mossie?
Last patch it was 60, good one.

i mean they literally don't fight back
i don't understand why all of the infantry weapons for every faction isn't the same stats. that just makes no sense to me. i mean, uniqueness is great and all but the starter weapons and kits should be the same throughout. right now it's almost the equivalent of an m1 garand fighting a kar98 because of how different same-class weapons are.
although i will say NC has top notch iron sights and everything on the VS side is fucking atrocious to the eye
This patch for me
Gal at warp
Get in the gal guys
Gal ready for HVAR/Bio lab/Crown/Anything
Get in the gal peeps.
GAL LEAVING
(never left)
HUGE Magrider column at Dahaka on Metis. It's the true power of the zerg.
Had a big TR bombing run on the Crown on Metis a few minutes ago. It was pretty cool until the framerate dropped to like 5 and we all got shot down by AA.

The big problem is half the facepunchers want one faction while the other half want another and even then we are all split on servers
I vote we all try and stay on east coast servers. It's closer to EU so they don't get totally screwed lag wise (I know I usually ping to about 150 to servers in germany for example while living here, which isn't terrible), and the west coast people will see minimal lag.
The way I had FPI set up was supposed to be just that - a way for vanu facepunchers to organize squads and stuff with each other easily and be able to play together when you happen to jump online for a game. Maybe we'd actually do organized events sometime later, but only if people decided that would be a thing to do. It wasn't meant to be a super-strict outfit. Of course this ends up not working out when 80% of people who joined FPI don't actually play vanu normally, and sometimes don't even play on the server.
Showoff.

The removal of Gal spawning is amazing, ground battles are actually exciting again. Was in a footzerg with Kevmo before I got D/C'd.
God damn how do you fuck up a patch this much?
also tank main guns now have a redonkulus fire cone
