although 40 certs to unlock a foregrip is kind of ridiculous. i'm really hoping that's not a permanent price. i shouldn't have to invest all of my cert points in to gun mods even if the foregrip is god's gift to making your weapon turn in to an automatic sniper rifle

You can't even kill a lightning with a single C4 and it takes shitloads to neutralize a galaxy, why is it even so expensive
It's not even worth using against shield/spawn control units, it's faster to just shoot them with your primary weapon

I owned C4 pre-reset and about the only thing it was good for was killing MAXes. Once they raised the resource cost of it though, it was pretty useless.
what they should do with the primary weapons is let you just buy certs for silencers and optics and so on and so forth and have it be applied towards every weapon
having to buy reflex sights (or better, the 3.5x optic) for every gun is by far the stupidest thing i've ever seen. why should i be certified with it for every weapon? it's the same gunsight. i would rather invest my certs in to something more beneficial for my team and keep the same sight attached to every class i use but instead i have to dump all of my certs in to one-two classes per character.
i guess the biggest thing is that gun addons are super expensive and there's no reason for them to be. you should be spending certs on suit, class and vehicle upgrades. now you have to spend them on (mostly) stupid gun mods too?

although since alpha team gets "12" weapon unlocks, i still am curious as to what those are. i bet you they'll be stupid vehicle turrets and early-access anti-air guns that don't cost you hardly any araxium anyway. i'm going to be really irritated if it is because i don't even pay attention to the guns (except the MAX anti-air guns. holy shit, that thing owns liberators)
They may have "disabled" C4 and a ton of other certifications while they're working on them by raising the certification cost to the extreme. Don't know why they wouldn't just re-lock it, but that makes the most sense in my head.

I hated god damned VS MAXes, I was rolling with a friend, both of us in NC MAX suits with two scatterguns, we had a face to face point blank with a VS MAX and he killed my friend and left me to like 20% HP so I was a bit baffled that this MAX was almost as strong as two of us at point blank with two scatterguns.
I think a good idea would be for them to have C4 cost only 15-20 certs to get the first one, but they use up crazy loads of resource to buy. I.E. at the 15 cert level they might cost 400-450 of X resource. However the more you cert into it, the cheaper it gets - so maybe you can get a 200 cert thing that makes them very cheap (50-60 of X resource) and you can carry 3/4 of them.
Though its kind of an arbitrary/video-gamey limitation. I'm sure there are much better ways to go.

Did he have twin comets? Anti-vehicle weapons are much more effective against MAX units than anti-infantry weapons

Honestly if it weren't for fear of scaring Planetside 1 players I'd say just remove MAX suits. They were an ill-implemented MMORPG concept that turned into necessary evil as the infantry play got tuned through the games lifetime and I don't think they add much to PS2 at the moment.

exactly. they're useful in some situations (specifically anti-air), but honestly at the end of the day they should be treated like a vehicle rather than a class.
i'm not opposed to them. they're there for a reason, definitely, but when you have a whole squad of MAX units wrecking your shit the game suddenly becomes unfun because they can spawn right back in a second after dying. i know the devs said that they were going to put cooldown time on MAX units but to me they have no function and are only there so PS1 players don't get upset
they fill out roles that normal infantry couldn't/wouldn't make sense to fill
i like them now that they cost a shitload and have a cooldown, they're much more sparse and the people who use them aren't just spamming them
also what the hell is up with anti-tank rocket launchers
the rockets fly like you're throwing a grenade. i don't think i've ever hit a non-stationary target

I am sorry I don't remember where I heard this from but I believe they said you will be able to be full camo but it will be tinted in your factions colour.
Anyone else getting some crazy desync issues with aircraft?

That's what I remember hearing as well, which is why I was surprised to see the full desert camo. If I can go full snow camo, I'm just going to be a Stormtrooper on Esamir 24/7.
