Beta ? I do believe Balance comes after tech issues and stability. Sure you can have all players have equal chances and not worry that some upgrade/weapon combo is 1% better than the rest, but what does it matter if game freezes 5 minutes in and unless you play 800x600 you get slide-show fps ?
this isn't a case of one combo being 1% better than another this is a case of people day 1 will have rocket pods, improved cannons and missiles on their vehicles, where non paying people will not. it's not sidegrading, it's a case of having it or not having it.

Post your feedback on official forums and be constructive, it will do more good than worrying and complains.

Reworking system that is basis of their F2P system that also has to support game's existance, delicate stuff there.
Basicly, I have a shit computer (amd dual core, 9800gt) This shit does not run. Gagnam style.
Have there been any statements from SOE directly addressing the performance issues? Is it something they plan to fix? Or is it even fixable? My understanding is that recent patches have seemingly caused huge FPS drops in a lot of players. I've only been around since the recent mass-invite launch so I'm not sure if this is true or not for my personally.
How in dear fuck did you guys get beta codes? I've spent all day trying to get one from their twitter, all I got from my twenty tweets is one troll reply with no codes, while idiots that send one half-assed tweet lacking grammar are insta-accepted. Nor did I get one naturally via email, even though I signed up for it like six weeks ago. What can I do? Where do I find a code?

Takes perseverance, brother.
No you only gain resources while you are playing (every 5 minutes by the rates depending on your territory), and you gain bonus resources by getting XP in territories of that resource. Shit sucks but basically the only way to afford stuff like rocket pods are to idle on servers for days. You'll never be able to afford them otherwise. I think it takes somewhere like 36-40 straight hours of idling before you get enough auraxium to afford a 12,500 item thing the store, assuming your average income for auraxium is 30/per5min and you don't play in auraxium territories. I think they really need to make it so you get stuff like auraxium at a slower rate when you are not playing, just like for certs. I.E. if your team is getting 40 auraxium per tick, you might get 10-20 per tick if you are offline. Because right now you basically have to idle to get the same effect, which wastes population. It also would encourage people to "invest" more time into the game knowing they still get some resources even if they aren't playing, so they don't have to idle all day. And it would make it so actually doing the stuff where you check up on the state of battle on your moble device has a purpose - as if your empire has no territory in the middle of the night, you literally get no resources from it (where if you did have territory, you would be). Of course they won't do this I bet, simply because the whole point is to encourage people to buy items in the store with real money, not auraxium, in order to get what they want. Making it so you can get a pro-rated amount of auraxium when you are offline would lessen the importance of spending money on the store. Also it would create issues where people would make accounts with the sole purpose of idling them offline, only to sell them later with their bigass auraxium count they aquired. Still they could prevent this by simply making it so you don't gain auraxium or certs unless you gain a certain amount of XP in a week/month.
Hot tip, passive aux is not your primary source of it. It still takes a long time though, but I do get over 1k aux every hour of play time.
It seems they've switched posters, it's somebody else now. This is the time to strike! ^^
Pming you my user and pass...
A million hearts.
Say, which accounts give out beta keys? Just the main one?
https://twitter.com/BrewkoPS This guy used to post nothing but beta keys, apparently he doesn't anymore. I got mine off the main account anyways, on a public key. I was just piss lucky.
A million hearts.
Enjoy.
rework? lol all they have to do is reduce the prices of items or increase aurxiaum gain rate
They will. Just not now. The economy model is a low priority andin no position to start testing and, and won't be for weeks.
Hot tip, passive aux is not your primary source of it. It still takes a long time though, but I do get over 1k aux every hour of play time.
The only times I've gotten Auraxium outside the passive deposit is when I capture sites that produce Auraxium.
Hot tip, passive aux is not your primary source of it. It still takes a long time though, but I do get over 1k aux every hour of play time.
Problem is you still only get aux actively if you only attack main bases I heard a better suggestion on the main forums: - Make it so your entire empires territory counts twoards aux gain, not just main bases. Say 1 territory = 1-2 aux every 5 min. - Make main bases add a multiplier to this. So holding hvar increases your aux gain by 1.25x. This can mean that having a small teritory with 3 main bases is better than a large territory with only 1, or zero main bases. - Doing things anywhere, not just main bases, gets you a little bit of aux for XP you get. The amount depends on how much aux your empire is getting already, and how much XP you get. The higher either of those are, the more aux you get from doing things. It'll make it so the whole map becomes more important instead of just main bases. Also it'll reducing idling, as you'll make much more aux from playing than just idling (they would have to make it so the amount you get if you DO idle isn't as much though. Like, your average sized empire would still generate only about 20-25 aux per 5 min, maybe 30-35 on the high end for larger territories).
I fucking love the Revive Grenade. See enemy spawncamping our tubes Throw revive grenade in the room full of corpses RISE MY MINIONS, OBEY GRAND NECROMANCER SABER
The game just crashes every time right when I launch it. :/
It won't let me choose my faction when I start it up and when I finish my character and press finish nothing happens. Anyone have a solution?
I really hope this game gets optimized, I tried flying a galaxy today like I've really been wanting to do but my framerate was so bad it was unflyable. This is literally the only game i've had framerate issues with on this computer.
Earlier today there was an announcement saying there would be a patch later this week fixing performance issues
Earlier today there was an announcement saying there would be a patch later this week fixing performance issues
Takes a load off my mind, hopefully it does.
is it me or is it that when people uses the voip it sounds like they're speaking through a radio? I'm not sure if it was one guy's mic that I kept hearing or if it's a neat little feature.
So wait how am I supposed to access the beta.
is it me or is it that when people uses the voip it sounds like they're speaking through a radio? Oh boy it's unplayable to me, I mean everything is fine in calm places like the spawn but as soon as I enter a battlezone it becomes a slide show. Gotta wait for some optimization.
